I brought my boyfriend Keegan here to get a few inches off. We walking in and got Brandon. Immediately he was overbearing and insulting the haircut choice my boyfriend said he wanted. My boyfriend said he wanted no fade and a dry cut just start with an inch off all around and Brandon said that “we aren’t doing all this ‘start with’ we are gonna be here over two hours”. My boyfriend got up and said he wasn’t gonna get the haircut if he wasn’t going to be respectful to him and listen to what he wants. I walked over to ask what was going on and Brandon said that he couldn’t do the haircut because Keegan had product in his hair. Then Brandon proceeded to insult my boyfriends age and tell him he needs to learn more about what to ask for and that he isn’t expirenced. Of course he isn’t expirenced in the barber world, we just came here to get a gos damn haircut and the service was terrible. I hope you find a better barber that treats customers with respect and listens to what they want. Will not be coming here again. We had an appointment and got no haircut all because of Brandon’s incompetence.

This is a paean to Kimmy, the very best barber in all the Rockies, and only the second Google review I have written in my 60 years. Bar none, as “the very best” implies, Kimmy, who can be found tending her chair at Floyd’s 99 Barbershop in Boulder, is unparalleled in excellent service, meticulous care, and remarkable capability. Indeed, Kimmy is one of those people you think of as a secret weapon in life: the car mechanic who can work magic or the handyman who can fix everything in your home or your best friend, the one you trust to have your back and who always knows how (and when) to make you laugh. Kimmy is all of these and much more, except now she is a secret no longer. As I have told Kimmy - and now I publicly say with emphasis to Floyd’s 99 - I would pay much more, remaining a very loyal client, to have her cut and care for my hair, as only she can. Everyone local and otherwise would be well served to seek out Kimmy and to learn what my fuss is all about. As is evident in this review, I could not possibly recommend her more.

I'm a regular and like the price and flexibility of walking in for a cut and having usually only to wait 15-30 minutes.

Taylor is the absolute Best! Love the way she cuts my hair, and just a very Nice person overall. I'm a out of towner, and work in Colorado but will always go there to get my haircut 💇♂️

I appreciate everyone who works at this shop. The reception team is always helpful and polite. All of the stylists are great, and I really appreciate Taylor's expertise. I bring my daughter here too, and they always get a great cut.

Wasn’t sure what location my last bad experience was at but it doesn’t matter. This place went to hell when they became a chain. Used to be no scheduled appointments, only a 30-minute call ahead and then wait in line. This allowed the barbers to take the time they needed to get the cut just right. Now that they’re scheduling each cut as just 30 minutes, the barbers are rushing through and it results in significantly worse quality. I recommend any local barbershop with at least 45 minute appointments over any Floyd’s nowadays.

Whenever I’m in need of a fresh fade, Gabino (a.k.a. G) always hooks me up proper! Also, the rest of the staff is always super kind, polite, helpful, and patient. The online booking portal is convenient and user friendly. They also account walk-ins. I highly recommend Boulder Floyd’s!

What I like is my man G! I walked in and he happened to be available. I have been getting cuts from him for about a year. I didn’t have time to make an appointment so I lucked out that he was available. He pauses and asks me what I think (so I can put on my glasses and see what’s up) so we can fine tune it to perfection. I feel so cute! Highly recommend G!

I like Kimmy, and that’s why I go to Floyd’s. She once salvaged a haircut that someone else butchered my son with and made it not only nice, but one he felt good in! She cuts my hair consistently better than anyone ever has and I’m 59 yrs old. She’s been cutting my hair now for 3 yrs or more. I can’t remember . She clearly cares about making you happy and takes pride in her work. She’s pleasant to be around. Easy to talk with. She’s comfortable with silence too. You’re lucky to have her in your shop and I gladly recommend her and Floyd’s because of her quality service. GT Reese
