Thank you, Al! Nice, chill barber shop in Boulder and the first time we've been there, but definitely not the last. I made some mistakes with my partner's haircut, right before a business trip AND on his 61st birthday! We walked into Al's, coming from Rollinsville, and Al was great. We waited for a very brief period until he had an opening today and what a great experience. Al's Barber Shop is wonderful and we highly recommend. Thanks again, Al, for your kindness, professionalism, flexibility, excellent communication and master barbering skills. You could've turned us away, but you didn't and we are grateful! Cathy & Marc

Moved to Boulder eight years ago and spent several years looking for a barber I liked enough to keep going back to. Found a couple good ones, but Josh at Al’s is the best. Even after moving outside of Boulder, I keep coming back here because it’s just that good.

Started going to Al's over 20 years ago after an article in the Denver Post referring to his art/skill/profession...Has always kept me feeling 'current' ...not stuck in a time warp. Easy to manage...evolving from professional to retired ; - )

I am so impressed with this place and so glad I found it. I had just gotten a double undercut from a different salon and while I loved it, it wasn't quite even on one side. Al's receptionist was super helpful and fit me in the next day and my barber, Dylan, TRULY went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect. It turned out to be much trickier than I anticipated. He was so patient and friendly and wonderfully exacting. He even gave me a hot towel shave on the neck. I must credit my original gal with the design, but Dylan's attention to detail and patience is what has made it one of my favorite haircuts ever.

Because I didn’t schedule a beard trim and a haircut when making appointment I was left having to choose one or the other. My stylist couldn’t make time to give me what I wanted. He left me high and dry the day before leaving to go to be a best man in my best friends wedding! Talk about not putting the customer first.

I’ve been going to Al’s for a few years now. Love the vibe, the personal appointment reminder call, and of course, the haircut. A very modern shop with a high end team of barbers. The website has a clean look, but could use a streamlined scheduling portion. I drive about 35 minutes to get here, so that should demonstrate how much I like this place!

Had a great first visit! David was incredibly helpful, attentive to detail, and willing to change new things as he went. He was also great for conversation :). They did a 1st-timer discount for me, which I think was just a couple dollars. Boulder haircuts always seem to be expensive, but this one at least felt worth it.

Great place, I have now been to Al’s twice, both were great experiences. Dakota cut my hair most recently and took the time to make sure I was really happy with the new haircut, he really knows what he is doing and will make ya laugh. 5 star worthy for sure.

I've been going to Al's for ~ 8 years now. I've tried a few different barbers from time to time, but nothing compares to the quality of cuts here. The staff is skilled, personable, and pays close attention to your style and requests. Al's is the best!

This was my first time into Al's, I had read a lot of good things online about them when I was searching for a barber. At first the price threw me off just a little when I read the reviews, but let me tell you, it is worth every penny. My stylist, Marissa, was extremely nice and definitely knows exactly what she is doing. All I had to do was give her some idea about the length -short but not too short- and she knew exactly what she wanted to do. 30$ gets you excellent service here and I plan on setting an appointment monthly with Marissa. If you really want to look good, I'd suggest you do the same with any of the stylists. Again, wonderful visit, HIGH recommendation from me.
