I’ve had great experiences at other Rudy’s locations, which made this visit to the Cleveland St. Redmond shop especially disappointing. There was no greeting on arrival, minimal communication during the service, and no meaningful consultation about how I like my hair or beard done. My appointment notes didn’t appear to be reviewed, and the overall demeanor felt cold and disengaged. For an $85 service, I expect attention to detail and a professional, welcoming experience. Instead, the cut felt basic and transactional, and beard shaping wasn’t addressed until prompted. I respect service workers and tipped as usual, but the vibe was off from start to finish. If you’re expecting the level of craftsmanship and hospitality typical of other Rudy’s locations, this shop may not deliver.

This experience happened on January 19th at the Redmond location and was extremely disappointing. My appointment was scheduled for 12:45 PM. I have both the email confirmation and a screenshot from the booking confirmation clearly showing 12:45. At 12:37 PM, I received a call from Lana stating that I was late and that my appointment was actually at 12:30 PM. I explained that my confirmation clearly showed 12:45, but she insisted I was wrong. I arrived at the shop at 12:49 PM. Even after showing her my confirmation email, she continued to insist that I booked 12:30 and accused me of making a mistake. She claimed I should have received three separate emails for the three services I booked and said this could not possibly be a technical issue on Rudy’s end—implying that I was lying. I’ve been a Rudy’s customer for almost 12 years, visiting locations in Seattle, Bellevue, and even this Redmond location. I calmly explained that this seemed like a system issue, but she became defensive, increasingly rude and declined any possibility of a system issue. She said she could only perform one of the three services I booked, or I could reschedule and be charged a 50% cancellation fee for “missing” my appointment—despite the clear proof that my appointment was always 12:45 on my end. When I asked to speak with a manager, she told me the manager was unavailable, said she had already spoken to them, and that I would still be charged the cancellation fee. The entire interaction felt hostile and disrespectful. When I finally said I would never return to Rudy’s, she almost told me get out and pointed me toward the door. I have never been treated this way at any Rudy’s location before. Lana was the rudest employee I’ve ever encountered at Rudy’s, and this experience has completely changed how I viewed Rudy's as always welcoming. I expected far better service, especially as a long-time customer.

I had a very disappointing experience with my haircut. I decided to try a higher-level barber named Shy because I expected more expertise and better service, but unfortunately it was the opposite. In the past, I had my hair cut by another barber at a lower level who showed excellent customer service — she was polite, attentive, and made sure I felt comfortable, even though her technical work wasn’t perfect. That level of professionalism made a big difference. During this appointment, however, Shy was not friendly and did not listen carefully to what I asked for. I clearly explained how I wanted my hair, but she cut the top extremely short while leaving only the front long, which is not what I requested at all. The result was very uneven and far from my expectations. Beyond the haircut itself, the overall customer service was disappointing. I did not feel heard or taken care of during the appointment. I chose to try a higher-level barber hoping for a better experience, but sadly this will be my last time coming here. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and customer care in the future.

Fantastic! Danielle was recommended after I complemented a friend's haircut and she was amazing! I brought a few example pictures and honestly the finished result was even better than I'd hoped! And also the small talk was comfortable and easy, even though I do tend towards being awkward when getting haircuts. :) 10/10 experience

Sarah at Rudy’s Redmond is a fantastic stylist - she always listens to her clients and then uses her expertise to deliver an excellent cut. Add in her kind personality and professional approach and she’s the full package!! Definitely check her out for your next cut - she’s the best!

Pretty disappointed in my experience. Everything was as you'd expect for the bare minimum of a chain barber. They were on time and said hi. Went in for long haircut after growing my hair out for quite some time. Went in to get some layering. In the time of the appointment my stylist, said they would "refresh the layers I had" then proceeded to cut off my spit ends and trim my sideburns and neck. The whole time using leading language like "I think this looks great" then wrapped up the cut and charged me 69 dollars. Felt like the stylist was trying to do the least amount of work possible. I don't get my hair cut often, but I can tell you I didn't get what I paid for.

Amanda is so kind and did an excellent job for us! My daughter scheduled her first appointment at Rudy's with Amanda and I went with her since it was her first visit. We were greeted right away and only had to wait a few minutes even though were were a bit early. Amanda happened to have availability right after my daughter's appointment so I stayed and got my hair cut too. Amanda listened to what we were hoping to have done and gave recommendations for what would work well for our hair. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend this shop and specifically Amanda!

DO NOT GO AT ALL COSTS. Today I received the worst haircut of my entire life. It is so bad that I’m going to have to go home and buzz my hair. I went in with medium long hair, and asked for a short summer haircut. The barber who cut my hair was an older woman of Asian descent, with colorful dyed hair. Then within minutes she hacked my hair to the point of no return. Completely buzzing one side of my head while leaving the other side long. At the end she asked me what I thought, and I said it was the worst haircut I’ve ever had at the front till. Then this blonde girl who I’m pretty sure is named Lana came rushing up and told me to leave because I was being “rude”. Do not go to this place if you like having hair. What an awful place.

Love this place. Friendly skillful staff. Trinh looked at my past pictures of my favorite haircut I had gotten and did better! Cool design and decor. Price on par with other skilled places. Highly recommend.
