this place is a hidden gem in Rockwall. Jeff always does an amazing job on my hair and the vibes are great in the shop. cool art, whiskey, amazing barbers, what’s not to like?

I always leave feeling cared about, and my hair looking the best it has in 3 weeks. I don’t know how many people could say their barber remembers the details about their family and checks on them personally during conversation, or prays with them and encourages them, while cutting their hair, if they are going through something difficult.

This review is towards the business's ability to facilitate a product, not a barbers ability to cut hair. I went to this barbershop 3 times. Well supposed to be 3. Even though I had been waiting on Jeff's availability, today at 1233 I received a cancelation notification for my 1pm appointment. There was an attempt made to clarify why the cancelation was made, siting a sudden emergency. Jeff went on to show how willing he is to work with customers that are late (not that I ever have been) and that if I was 'incapable' of reciprocating that level of forgiveness then this was not the place for me. Correct Jeff. I'll carry my beard to any number of other locations that can simply keep an appointment. Edit: Because I saw your response, let me clarify what can be expected for any wishing to visit this barbershop. My appointment was cancelled with less than an hour's notice. No priority reschedule, no discount for next cutting, and told me if that doesn't work for me then I shouldn't come back. Very poor service and it costs you a bad review and my future business. End of story.

Hey Shane. <br><br>Couple things.<br><br>I do apologize again for cancelling your appointment on 8/22. We take your choice to sit in our chairs seriously. Your appointment was, in fact, at 1PM that day. But unfortunately on my end I was unexpectedly made aware that my wife was rushed into the ER for emergency surgery, which meant I was then responsible for my three children due to the fact that my wife was incapable of taking care of them considering her medical emergency. <br><br>In reference to the comment made about customers being late or unable to show up for their appointments… I told you in the original message exchange we had that we always extend grace to every single client who has things come up–such as a medical emergency, a family emergency, traffic, meetings running late, etc. and we ask the same level of understanding from our clients as well. Life happens! We get that. This was an unforeseen event that took place on the day you had your appointment scheduled, an event that I had no control over. <br><br>To be clear, my family will always take precedent over anyone’s haircut or beard service. That has been something that in five years of business and 8 years as a professional barber, no one has ever once had an issue with until now. As I said before, if you are incapable of extending that same level of understanding and common grace to me or any one of my barbers, then I assure you this is not the establishment for you. I stand on that today and will continue to do so. <br><br>Best of luck. <br>

Jeff listens and purposefully cuts hair to the clients needs, and will give recommendations to what he thinks will look best. He has great chair etiquette and makes going pleasant. Jake cuts my sons hair he is 4, and Jake does great with him and makes him comfortable, he went from crying when we go to being excited to go. 10/10 recommend true light to everybody.

5 years in and won't see another barber as long as Jeff is behind the chair. He has exceptional skills and is a great barber, but he's an even better man. He is a family man with integrity and has built a business on those values. I look forward to my appointments. You should too! Go see Jeff and Jake and get a great haircut. you may even get a glass of something nice while you're there too.

Jeff used to cut my son’s hair, and he always did a great job. He was patient, friendly, and made my son feel comfortable in the chair, which isn’t always easy with kids’ haircuts. The cuts were always clean and well-done, and my son walked out looking sharp every time. Even though we don’t go there anymore, I’d still recommend him to anyone looking for a barber who’s good with kids and pays attention to detail.

Jake is hands-down one of the best barbers I’ve ever had, and this establishment is the best around. His attention to detail is incredible, he always takes the time to give me suggestions on styling, and the atmosphere in the shop is top-notch — welcoming, friendly, and professional. And honestly, the team here shows the kind of integrity you want in a business. If they ever had to cancel my appointment for something like an ER visit, I’d gladly let them. Life happens, and I’d rather support a shop that values their people and customers than one that treats emergencies like an inconvenience.

I bring my dad here and it’s always such a positive experience. Jeff really listens, pays attention to detail, and makes sure my dad leaves looking his best. The shop has a welcoming atmosphere, and the customer service is top notch. Couldn’t ask for better care!

Jeff has always upheld the highest standards in barbering and just being an all around good person. And that’s the type of people I like to spend my money and time with. Also, the guy Shane that left the one star review thinks his beard is more important than a family emergency and that tells us all what we need to know about Shane. Keep being great Jeff!
