I’ve been going to see Bobby for years for haircut and beard shaves and he is a master barber. The man is a wizard with the straight blade, I always leave happy with the work after my visits. Thanks Bobby!

Errick did an amazing job as usual and I would highly recommend his services to anyone needing a barber. This location was clean and had a great atmosphere.

*I originally emailed this when it occurred on 5/12 to the support email listed on the site, but since no one bothered to even follow up with me, I am now posting a review for everyone else to see.* I just got my hair cut by Lawyer at the Coit and Campbell location, and to be frank, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a barber. I walked in around 3:58pm and there was no one else present in the shop aside from Lawyer, who was sitting way in the back, talking on the phone. He looked up at me for a few before finally acknowledging me or walking up to the front to check me in. I did originally have an appointment this morning with Joanne but had to reschedule due to work stuff that popped up, but I had time at the end of my day and decided to come in and see if I could get the cut done, and I regret it. He remained on the phone as he checked me in and walked me back, and he notified me that he was “talking to tech support,” so because of this I assumed that it had something to do with the shop, but I very quickly realized he was actually on the phone for personal reasons, regarding his cell phone or something of that nature. He asked me what I wanted (all the while continuing to talk on the phone…) and I explained that I wanted the sides and back faded and blended up, with the top cut and cleaned up and made to look nice (I did have a little bit longer on top). I did not have a reference photo but I figured he would ask more questions as we went through the process as this is how things have always been done anytime I get my hair cut. He started doing the sides/back but was flirting with the representative he was on the line with (LaShanda, I do not know the spelling but he kept repeating her name very flirtatiously) and instead of interacting with me and letting me know what he needed me as far as head placement, he simply jerked my head around very roughly; I even had to ask him to be a little gentler. On top of this, he was very rough with the trimmers around my right ear and I was afraid for a second that he had nicked me because it caught on one of my piercings. When he went to start cutting the top of my hair, he literally just grabbed handfuls of my hair and cut. It now looks extremely choppy and uneven. I was honestly shocked when he stopped cutting and asked me how I liked it (while STILL talking to LaShanda). I was so irritated at this point I just wanted to get out of the chair because I know myself and I did not want to start a confrontation with this man. He even made a joke that my hair “stands up on its own now.” Needless to say I am thoroughly pissed off. The sides and back look decent but the top of my head is unacceptable. I tried to call the customer service number listed on the website but reached a man who said he no longer works for Lucky’s.

I’ve popped in to Luckys a few times and it’s been alright. Never had a great haircut here, never too bad either. Until today. I walked in with medium length hair, asking for a “clean up, same style as I have now just shorter.” My back hairline was cut uneven and wavy. The top front of my hair has 3 different lengths. I also have strong cowlicks towards the back of my head that the guy just buzzed straight over. It’s just sticking up now. Oh, also the straight razor shave is a scam. I don’t have sensitive skin or dense/thick facial hair but still got cut up. The shave is pretty patchy in most areas of my face.

We came in with a picture of Tom Brady and Errick nailed it! He made my son feel comfortable telling jokes and being gentle. We bought some of the wax powder the barber used because it was unique and worked great. It’s my son’s new favorite haircut place and we have plans to go back for a fresh cut before school starts. 5 stars recommend!!

I HATE THIS PLACE! I went to this place about a year ago and some New Yorker butchered my hair. I had straight lines and this guy spent so much time talking and not paying attention that he destroyed the lines as you can see it’s cut into all the sides where is perfectly straight and I’ve got a photo of it slightly fixed uploaded as well. My hair had perfectly straight lines and the barber wasn’t paying attention (too busy telling stories) and cut into the sides making them all uneven I didn’t notice at the time because my hair was in a hairband as you see in the pictures. When I got home and took a shower I removed the hairband and chunks of hair started coming out on my hands and I realized what he had done. So much hair…Over 18 months of growth was cut off and into. I’ve tried to salvage it but I’m order to fix it I have to basically shave my head and start over. In order to get the width back at an even length it much be cut off and regrown. This was the single worst haircut of my life. As he talked about how good he was he was destroying the evenness of my style. There may be good barbers there but the New York butcher that cut my hair was the worst. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my enemies and I will never return. I wish I had known what he was doing while I was in the chair. I completely regret Luckys and have for the past over 1 year while I’ve had multiple barbers try to fix their mistakes without me cutting my hair all the way off. But, that is the only solution to get it back the way it was. If I didn’t have to give a star I wouldn’t, so instead here’s my honest 1 star review.

Got an appointment with Jeff and man was I disappointed. He rushed through the haircut and spent a decent amount of time looking at the TV. That wouldn’t have been an issue if he was also taking care cutting my hair but this was clearly not the case. Most barbers will use a single blade to line up the area around the temples, Jeff didn’t bother touching this area and tried to finish the haircut by showing me the mirror. I pointed out to him that this area was clearly untouched and needed some work. He proceeded to use a trimmer to try and line up that hair, this is the equivalent of using a lawn mower to trim your hedges. It came out rough and choppy. He also used the trimmer in a very rough manner around the ears, its so clear that it wasn’t cut smoothly. Worst of all, the side burns weren’t even symmetrical and he cut the left one too high so I can’t even make them symmetrical myself now. See the photos I’ve attached. I’ve had haircuts where the barber takes meticulous care, or has the expertise to get everything right in the first movement. Meanwhile Jeff’s approach was to basically cut my hair, and then let me point out the mistakes, anything I missed during the cut, I’m stuck with now. Before the haircut he seemed so genuinely interested in helping me get the best cut, during the haircut it just seemed like he wanted me to stop pointing out mistakes. Honestly even during the haircut, I felt like he’d made too many mistakes for me to guide him how to fix it. I really wish I had a better experience with this place, I live close by and was eager on becoming a regular.

Rating for my husband who has been going to Lucky's for over a year now. We love the service every time we walk in there but today Jeff went above and beyond by putting cartoons on and hanging out with my son! We love Christine and wont go to a different barber even though we live an hour away. I highly recommend. All the barbers are fantastic from our experience and my husband is never upset with his haircut.
