Stopped in on a Saturday morning with no appointment on and got right in. ki gave me a real haircut (barbers became extinct after COVID in Michigan). I’ll be back when I’m in the area, next Christmas at least!

Ki performed an extraordinary act of kindness by trimming and caring for my father’s beard during a time of grief and sadness for our family. Through this simple but profound gesture, she gave him dignity and brought us comfort. Youseff squeezed me in between appointments and gave me the quickest cleanest cut. Fixed my recent bad haircut I got somewhere else. He was very nice and very professional. Definitely coming straight here next time

They fix bad haircuts!!! I went in with a fresh bad haircut from a different barber, and Osca was able to fix me up and have me looking even better than I thought possible!!! Like daaang I look good!💯 I love the esthetics and vibe of this barbershop as well! Professional staff, great cuts, great time! I’ll be back time and time again. Highly recommend this place! Go see Osca, Ki, Youssef, Justin, or Adrian and they’ll get you set up right! 🙌

I asked for a low taper fade and I receive what the photo shows. I cannot believe how bad it is truthfully. Everyone in my life thinks it’s the worst haircut they’ve ever seen. The barber then blamed my little bald spot I had on it. Bruh. I’ve been getting low taper fades for years now. He then gave me $5 off the haircut. lol craziness

Went in for a clean-up before a first date and left with a completely different hairstyle—without any confirmation or real communication about what the barber (Yousef, I think) was planning to do. He also felt the need to belittle my previous barber, saying she didn’t know what she was doing—which really rubbed me the wrong way, considering she gave me consistently great cuts for years. I only came in because I moved. What I got here wasn’t even close to what I asked for. No check-ins, no clarifying questions—just a mystery cut I didn’t sign up for. It’s now way too short to fix, and I looked ridiculous for something that actually mattered to me. I was going to let it go, but trying to get ready for work this morning and still fuming about it made me realize how off the whole experience was. Not just a bad haircut—just bad customer care. Won’t be returning.

Great experience. Enjoyed the conversation while my hair was being cut and Kai did an amazing job on making the entire experience a good one. The building is also a real cool vibe and In a fun part of Dallas.

Great place went in for a quick lineup and the barber Billy hooked me up. The staff is so cool here and it just had a wonderful relaxed vibe. It was very clean and tidy and it’s an incredible value. I cannot wait to come back and get my hair cut again.

The place is really nice but and I got a decent cut but the employees there are just stuck up.. not welcoming at all. I booked a session for an hr to get a haircut and shave. Called in to say I was running 10 mins late. They told me I had to choose. So I chose the haircut obviously. My haircut was done in 15 mins and she didn’t even offer to get my beard done. Even though I booked her for an hr. Love the aesthetics but won’t be going there again.

I got a gift certificate for a beard trim for Christmas. I was a little nervous having someone else trim my beard because it is new and I had no clue about style or shape. I had the privilege of having Trey do an awesome trim and cut. My beard turned out looking better than I could have imagined! The atmosphere at Brass Tacks is definitely very chill and relaxing. The products Trey used during my session had my face feeling amazing, and some were products they make and sell. The appointment scheduling site was also a super convenient feature. I was able to schedule my appointment with only two days in advance. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone from first time beard trims to seasoned beards that need a refreshing experience. I will definitely be returning for future beard maintenance. By the way, those gift certificates are really a great idea for guys hard to shop for who also happen to have a beard. They are easily purchased in just a few clicks on their website.
