When I moved to Addison, I used this barbershop for years. They used to be really friendly towards walk-ins and it was the reason I loved this place. I'd usually get in a chair in less than a half hour, spend $24(haircut) +$16 tip and call it a day. I loved how simple and fast it was. However, their attitude towards walk-ins has severely declined over the years. For the past few times I've gone it was more than an hour wait and the staff seems rather annoyed (in general). My most recent time(a few months ago)...I was a walk-in on Sunday morning. I came in at about 10am. There were four barbers already there and the cashier/host told me that the only time available was at 1230pm. I told him I'd wait because I didn't really have a choice and didn't expect the wait to be THAT long. I watched multiple barbers finish their appointments early and the cashier/host to ask them if they could take a walk-in. All four of them would say no then go sit in the back. At about 1115am, I watched one of the barbers (he had on shiny blue baggy sweatpants that I'm sure anyone who works there would recognize) order doordash food and have it delivered to the front while I was waiting for someone charitable enough to cut my hair. He took the doordash to the back and sat there for at least another half hour. This seemed really unprofessional to me. Ultimately, one of the barbers came in at around 1130am and his first appointment was late so he gave me a chance and cut my hair. I gave him a $30 tip because I watched all these other barbers tell the cashier/host no to cutting my hair then go sit in the back. I felt bad for the cashier/host because he was trying, but the barbers just...didn't want to. I understand that I can mitigate this by making an appointment, but if you(or your employees) don't want walk-ins then don't advertise it as a service you provide. I won't be going back because refusing to cut my hair for over an hour when multiple barbers are available and watching them each be asked, look at me, then say "no" was pretty embarrassing. Also ordering doordash in front of the customers is incredibly unprofessional. Who orders McDonalds at 10am to their barbershop while people are getting their haircut? Insane behavior.

We’re sorry your recent experiences with walk-ins and the in‑shop vibe haven’t matched what you’d come to expect. That isn’t the standard we’re known for, and we understand why you’d feel frustrated. We’re reviewing this with the team to help ensure clients feel welcomed and supported, whether reserving ahead or walking in. If you’re open to sharing more details, you can reach us at contactus@floydsbarbershop.com.

There’s some mean spirited hair stylists they have working here. My mom wanted a long bob and she got a choppy bowl cut that’s way shorter than what she wanted. DO NOT GO HERE!! THEY ARE AWFUL AT THEIR JOB AND OFFER NO REMORSE. THERES NO QUALITY STANDARD HERE. hire better, nicer, stylists and that are actually good at their job. Terrible excuse of a hair salon. The Floyd’s in Lewisville is so much better.
Owner's response
Thank you for sharing this feedback, grace. This does not sound like the amplified Floyd's experience we strive for, and we apologize if our quality standard wasn't reflected in your mom's visit. Would you mind reaching out to us at contactus@floydsbarbershop.com so we may better follow-up with our team?

Very disappointed in quality is saying it nicely. I didn’t get the cut I asked for, much shorter than the picture I showed and the back is choppy, not blended. Ive gone to other Floyd’s locations but will NEVER go back to this Floyd’s location nor will I recommend it.
Owner's response
Susan, we really appreciate your feedback and we are so sorry if we were unable to exceed your expectations. We are working with our team to ensure every visit reflects the amplified standard we strive for. If you have any additional insight, or if we could offer support, we’d appreciate the chance to connect with you at contactus@floydsbarbershop.com.

One of the best haircuts I’ve gotten at Floyd’s barbershop. I’m always treated well and the job is done well but it was especially done the right way today. I could tell that the fine details are being worked on throughout the entire haircut and it was much appreciated. Shout out to Moriah For doing such a stand-up job!
Owner's response
Thank you for the kudos! Moriah will be thrilled to know their work made an impact. We appreciate the chance to exceed your expectations, and we look forward to your next visit.

We booked an appointment for a kids cut for my son at this location and when we arrived we got paired with a lady who off the bat hesitated to take my son because of the type of cut we asked for, a low fade or all around taper, whatever you want to call it. I assured her we take our son to our local floyds in Frisco all the time since he's 2 1/2 and get the same cut without issues, we didn't this time because we were not going to be in that area anytime soon. I usually stand close by during the cut to make sure he's listening to the person cutting his hair. Mid hair cut the stylist clipped my son's ear and didn't mention it even though she had seen it first. We only noticed because his ear started bleeding and it wasn't a bit of blood, it was dripping. I was flabbergasted, he didn't flinch or cry about it that's how calm he is about his cuts. She started patting the injury with a rag and then placed barber powder on it. The cut didn't stop bleeding and we had to get a first aid kit we keep on our car in order to properly give him the care we knew he needed. As a father and as a paying client this is not what I expect of Floyd's long standing quality of service. At this point she didn't even want us to cure him on the spot and instead insisted on trying to put the damn powder and patting him with that rag. I proceeded to the counter to pay and get out while my wife stayed next to our son. The receptionist said we got a specialty cut $34 instead of a regular kids cut $27. For a half done cut plus my son injured ? I let her know of the situation and they said the MANAGER said it would be comped. We had to drive our son to the an urgent care because the cut didn't stop bleeding even after 30 mins from the incident. They cured him and there is clearly a clipped spot in his ear now, will it regrow, maybe. But we are definitely not coming back to this location. I say this with all the calm in my soul, if you don't feel comfortable doing a kids cut or you don't have the experience to do so, don't do it. I will keep going to Floyd's but not at this location at all, we will stay loyal to our location and our usual barber.

the person who tried to cut my hair didn't know what they were doing. I stopped the cut in the middle because I saw that it was beyond repair. I went somewhere else to finish. I will post a photo of what I ordered and a photo of what I got. I showed a picture of me of the cut I’ve done all my life and she couldn’t even copy it. I will never return here.
