After 40 minutes I thought my barber was about to actually get started. Apparently, the time he spent cutting tiny margins of trim was his idea of a full cut. I didn’t even know what to say. When I realize that he was done it was just like, apparently he didn’t understand a word that I said. But it was an emergency session and I didn’t want to be a bother any longer so I left. Absolutely terrible haircut. No layering, no shaping, just half of a mop.

Definitely hit or miss since they have rotating barbers. I walked from one Nics to the other because I saw the barber who doesn’t blend fades great working. I try to plan my haircut around the guy I like but unfortunately I tend to get the other ones. Anna cut my hair and it was disappointing. She didn’t wash my hair. I told her what I wanted and she said “I don’t do that”. Not sure if she was rushing but she had the card payment method ready before I even had the cape taken off. It was very uncomfortable, so now it’s just another Nic’s barber to try to avoid instead of having consistent results across the board.

The place looks nice and the barber was friendly enough but I just paid $50 for a bad haircut. He started to cut it as a part, which I didn’t ask for, then I had to tell him four times that it was uneven. I get home and I found that the left side was still really uneven and I fixed it myself. Also, walk ins only and as soon as I got in the only free barber went on lunch so I waited like twenty minutes. The person on the phone wasn’t very polite when I asked for an appointment. It’s so hard to find a trustworthy barber in Philly. I won’t be back at this one

I have never been to Nic grooming before. Yesterday I walked in and was immediately greeted by the 2 barbers, Dillon and Mark. I haven't been in a barbershop in Philadelphia and am new to the area. I have my regular barber back home in New Jersey who has been cutting my hair forever. So I am used to getting the skin fade and razor line up. Mark cut my hair, and after we talked for a little bit about the particulars and how I usually get cut, man, he went to work! I felt so comfortable, with a free cold beer and the awesome conversation, I can tell anyone that I feel like I literally got the best fade and finishing work with the straight razor that I have ever had in my life. I got a shampoo before the haircut and a wash on the way out the door. I never felt so fresh! Thank you Mark, I will definitely be returning!!!

I highly recommend this barber shop! I had my hair cut with Paul and he is excellent: very professional, efficient, and pleasant. I got exactly the cut I wished for, in a timely fashion, and while having an enjoyable conversation. It is worth the price

I have been searching for a good haircut stylist in Philly since I moved here six months ago! I tried different hairstylist, and none of them were good enough. I have very fine and pixie haircut, so that can be tricky. Until I found Yana! She is super talented and sweet! She corrected my haircut, and now my hair is stunning again! For my first time visiting a barber shop, I could not be more impressed. Dylan was great throughout the whole process, giving me possible options and tips for the cut and for styling. He gave me a lot of information to use for the next time around. The haircut came out great and I look forward to the next time around.

I recently visited this barber shop, and I can confidently say it's a cut above the rest. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. The barbers here are true professionals, and their attention to detail is remarkable. My haircut turned out exactly as I envisioned, and I left feeling more confident than ever. I'll definitely be returning for all my future grooming needs. Five stars well-deserved!

Was looking for a proper barber in Philly after years of GreatClips cuts, having just moved here from out of state. Did a lot of research and asked for a recommendation from friends, and Marissa was AWESOME. My hair looks exactly how I wanted it to! Also—a VERY safe shop for women and transgender people! I didn't feel out of place or uncomfortable at all. If you're like me (a butch woman looking for a good and inclusive barber), I can't recommend Nic Grooming enough.

I’ve had good haircuts there in the past, but they slaughtered my neck with the straight razor. I couldn’t be more disappointed. Certainly not worth $50.
