My hair is hard to work with and Alex listened to everything I had to say and gave me the best haircut I ever had. This place is great!

Awesome haircut, great barbers—one of the best barber shops I’ve been to.

Didn't have time to get a haircut before a business trip to Philly and was looking shaggy. Made an appointment 30 mins in advance and got right into Shianne's chair. She really took her time on my hair and beard, and even made some good recommendations to make it look better. Loved the cut, enjoyed the conversation, but hate that I'll have to fly out every two weeks for a haircut now! ;) Thank you!

Fantastic experience! BJ is an awesome person and barber, and the barbershop looks cool (nostalgic vibes back to its 20s origins). BJ helped me decide what kind of hair style works best for me and I am very pleased! I look forward to my next visit!

Such a cool atmosphere in an old school barbershop in center city. I have had 2 haircuts and beard trims there both with different people and both times came out extremely satisfied. This is certainly my new go to spot highly recommended

Amanda is an amazing barber. My haircuts always come out perfect and I am always going to choose her over anyone else. The barbershop also had a really relaxing atmosphere with great music playing.

I had a little rocky start with Groom, as there was an issue with one of their barbers calling out last minute and not contacting me about the issue. HOWEVER, the experience totally made up for the minor inconvenience and they were very accommodating (I took off o work and only had the day to get my haircut done), so they squeezed me into a later appointment. The barber was so nice and understanding and although I'm use to going where they already have my haircut on file, we were able to come up with something that I liked. Not to mention the amazing vibe of the whole experience. Vintage feelings and decor really make the little price up really worth it. The Google Map makes it look like it's on the side, so just make sure to enter the Art Condominiums building and head to the basement. It's small down there, but very cozy and relaxing. I also feel like at $32, you can't beat that for a cut in the city. MAKE SURE TO BRING CASH!! Although I think they accept Venmo, the barber told me they prefer cash.

I found this place from recommendations online. Made an appointment on their website for haircut with Joe. Who I think is the owner? Had to schedule about a week out. Guess it’s popular. Great atmosphere. Nice music. Comfy couches. Free beer. Haircut started on schedule. Friendly staff. But most importantly, Best haircut I’ve ever had. I have pretty curly hair, so getting it to sit right can be a challenge for most barbers. Haircut was an absolute steal @$28. Will definitely be back and would recommend the place to anyone.

Today(June 29, 2019), the barber was so nice & cut my hair incredibly well. It is growing out very nicely as of July 17th. I had no cash, & he let me leave afterward to get $ at a bank.

Had my haircut from here yesterday, this place is awesome, I was really impressed with the atmosphere. They're lobby area was pleasantly comfortable, I had someone in front of me and they were still able to get me cut within 10 or 15 min. Woody did a great job replicating the idea I had for my cut. He finished me up with a hot shave on my neck and I was good to go. The price was great for the service provided. Highly recommend..
