This is a great barber shop, the prices are very good. Ed knows what he is doing, I trust him with my hair. He is very professional and treats everyone in a respectful manner. The ambiance of this barber shop feels great and chill. I recommend this place.

I've yet to find a better barbershop in Philly. The staff is amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled. Ed is an awesome person. I've seen them give warm welcomes to literally everyone who walks through their doors, no matter who they are. I wish there were more stars I could give them.

I love this place. I have gone to get my hair cut and my eyebrows shaped over 5 times by this point. At first I would get my hair cut with whoever was available, but now I tend to cut my hair with Meg. My experience with everyone has been great but Meg has been helping me with my longer hair journey! My partner also gets his haircut here and usually gets great haircuts. The only times he hasn't been super satisfied is due to him being unsure about what he wants. Overall we are both extremely satisfied with this place. On a social note, I am a very awkward person who doesn't particularly enjoy interacting with others. That's one of the reasons I really enjoy this place. I never feel pressured to join the discussion in the group but always feel welcome to contribute if I want to. I have two 'negatives' which aren't really negatives. The first is the price. A haircut costs $25 plus tip. Although this seems up to par with the other places nearby, I'm originally from Puerto Rico where the price for a haircut is usually $13-16 plus tip, so the price change is a little jarring. It's not a big deal when you consider the quality of the haircut. Another possible negative is the wait time. If you are a walk in, it is not uncommon to wait 1 to 2.5 hours for your haircut. That's how thorough and popular they are. I suggest you do what I do. Go to the barber's shop and sign up, then go get breakfast or do some shopping. They'll call you when your turn is coming up. Overall, great place for a great cut.

These guys are the best! Family-run business that is VERY busy so they do their best to accommodate everyone, but can’t always do so. If you want to get your hair cut by these master barbers you need to get there early and/or be prepared to wait a while. With the high quality you get for the low price, it’s definitely worth the wait. Plan it into your schedule (or make an appointment on the weekend) and you won’t be disappointed!

Got a couple good barber's, the rest are basic qualified. Like the look of the shop, though it is small. Cuts are not overpriced $20 a cut. Usually a really long wait for walk ins min 1hr. But atmosphere too arrogant, disrespectful to customers, won't be returning.

My preferred barber in the area. Ed and company always do an excellent job at a reasonable price. That reputation means calling ahead or stopping in to sign up in advance for sure: they're usually pretty slammed, but they're worth it

The moment I walked in and was offered a beer. I dropped my previous barber. The wait is worth it. They take their time with cutting your hair rather than rushing through to make sure their next appointment gets done. Can't wait to get to know the owner and workers. Friendly environment and makes you feel like you are hanging out with the bros.

You'll wait two hours or more when the shop is particularly busy and you can't call ahead. You have to physically show up and put your name down. But the barbers are incredibly friendly and absolutely meticulous. I had not had a compliment on my haircut in years, until I came here and gave the barber carte blanche to do what he thought would look good for me.

When I walked into Ed's, I knew that I was in the right place immediately by the amount of guys waiting for their turn for a haircut. I waited for about 45 minutes, which is not to bad if the cut is worth it, and it was. I had not had a haircut in about 6 months, and my beard had not been trimmed in about 4 months. Ed had a tough customer in me, especially since I am very particular about my appearance, specifically my beard. Ed took his time, making sure he did exactly what I was asking for. He was making friendly conversation with me all the while, telling me about his family and his outreach to troubled young men, and asked me about my upcoming marriage and things of the sort. I knew he had his family waiting for him to get home, and I felt bad about keeping him there about 30 minutes past closing time, but he was determined to give me a great cut and trim no matter how long it took. The service was some of the best I have experienced in quite a while, and everyone who left after their cut did so with a smile and a sharp look! Thanks to Ed for restoring me to "dapper" status!

Walked in, told them what I wanted, they did it, and it was $13. Honestly, probably the best haircut I've ever had. Quick and inexpensive which you don't see very often in Philly, especially for classic style haircuts. This can count as two reviews because I suggested Ed's to my roommate, and he had the same sentiment that I do.
