Distinguished Barber Shop has some of the best barbers in Philadelphia. My barber Joseph always hooks my mid fade cut up. Shape up and trim of my bouffant top keeps me looking my best. Great atmosphere, gifted hands, and superior customer service. It is the barber shop that keeps you looking distinguished.

Got my haircut there for years and I always been pleased with my haircut. Great, professional barbers that really care about their work and their customers. Little on the pricey side but you should not be disappointed with the outcome when you walk out the door.

Growing a beard was a relatively recent decision I've made, but having been clean shaven all my life, I don't feel confident shaping or trimming the thing. I barely know what to ask a barber to do concerning it. So I rely heavily on the eye and skill of others. About a year ago, my wife was treating me to one of the pricier barber shops in Philly to get a haircut and for them to shape my beard. Then everything shut down for a year and I was left to my own devices, literally. Once the city started opening back up, I decided to make the appointment and get myself cleaned up a bit. It was okay, but not sure it was worth the price. It could be there they were out of practice. Either way, I decided to start seeking out a better barber shop, one that would deliver on giving me a look that matched that of other bearded fellas I see living the high life of beard-dome. In my pursuit of a great barber shop, I visited a number of good ones, but not worth a second visit. There was one I visited over a month ago that really stood out, appropriately named Distinguished. So I decided to make a second appointment. I can say without exaggeration that it was perhaps the greatest cut I've ever gotten and certainly the best shape up for my beard. I'm not claiming they're the best barber shop in Philly; I haven't visited them all, but once one has found what they're looking for, why keep looking? Add to that, in a lot of places I've visited, the conversation of the staff was vulgar as well as the music to which they were listening. Distinguished's atmosphere, they're conversations as well as their music, remained family friendly which, to a father of a young girl who occasionally needs to tag along with papa, is critical. Distinguished has earned themselves a customer.

Greatest barbershop ever frequented. Barbers are memorable and professional and are also excellent craftsmen. I'd highly recommend anyone to Distinguished Barbershop to get that extra distinguished look.

Finally tried this place out and I can't complain at all. I didn't have to wait at all even tho they were busy. Joe was my barber and he did an amazing job. I will definitely be back on the regular and will be telling people to stop in!!

First time visit for my son. He absolutely loves his haircut! He got there a little after 6am with his dad. The barber took his time with his haircut made it perfect! I love that he took his time and made my son feel like the regular he is sure to become. Great barbershop! Definitely have a returning customer!

These guys are truly distinguished gentlemen. Very professional and respectful especially around females. I have my favorite because my undercuts are always sharp. I not only give them a 5 star I recommend them to all men and women. Thank you for your excellent service.

I been trying to find a perfect barbershop for the past 5 years , it started from me going to barbershops that charged me $90 to $100 just to cut around my head zero and don't touch the top at all ( yes , not even skin fade or anything else , just zero around my head ) to $6 barbershops at Frankford Ave that all dad's force their kids to go there ! About a year ago I found this one barbershop next to my house in Northeast Philly that used to charge $8 at first for a skin fade , so I kept going there for 2 months , twice a week and then they changed the prices to $12 but still didn't stop me from going there because I was tired of looking a perfect barbershop that I really like what they do , but now if I wanna go to the same barbershop I need to make an appointment a week to 3 weeks before and pay between $17 to $25 for the same $8 cut I used to get and also wait for a week to three ... So today morning at 6am I decided that I need to take off my hat and get a cut because I've had enough of having a messy hair that I have to hide it with a hat everyday and I'm not going to work or anywhere unless I get a cut ! So I searched " barbershop " on Google and then clicked on " open now " option and I saw only one place open in whole philly and it was " Distinguished barbershop " , TBH when I first saw their page on Google it kinda looked like it wouldn't be a good barbershop and it's like one of this regular barbershops because they didn't have a website and there wasn't pictures from inside the barbershop and plus it was a 45 minute drive from me , I had to choose between risking it and going there right now and if they'll F up my hair I'll just shave my head ( yea I was really thinking about doing it if I didn't like the cut ) or just keep having a hat on and keep hiding my hair . So I was like F it , it can't get worse than this , I haven't got a cut for 2 weeks and that's the worst thing for me! So I started driving there and once I arrived I went inside and I was shocked that they have a lot of customers at that time of the morning plus it wasn't the crusty barbershop I imagined and I can promise you that it looked better and cleaner and more professional than the barbershop that used to be so famous and I was paying $100 for a cut ! So even tho there was customers I didn't even have to sit for a minute and sat on the barber chair immediately ! So first of all the guy ( I wish I knew his name ) started cleaning and sanitizing all of his equipment and he started cutting my hair , I didn't look in the mirror even for a second the while time untill he was done because I was still scared , at the end when he was done I looked in the mirror and OMG !!! It was the best cut I ever got in the past 21 years ! I was so happy honestly and I asked the guy how much I gotta pay ? ( For skin fade and beard shape up ) and he said $18 and I said ok , I didn't realize he said $18 because of how happy I was , and then I turned around and asked him again because I thought I'm just tripping and he said $18 ! Like idk how to explain but I was really shocked ... Well I paid him almost twice as much as what he told me because honestly that cut was worth $1000 compared to the $100 cut I used to get for a while or the one I went to for a year ... Well the whole day I've been getting compliments from my mom , girlfriend and everyone else who saw my haircut and a lot of people have asked me which barbershop I went to ... It was one of the best risks I have ever taken but the only complain is that now every week I gotta drive 45 minutes there and then back to get the perfect haircut that I've been looking for 😭 well it's worth it to me . ( Sorry for typing this long paragraph but I feel like I had to share my story with ya'll and I forgot to say that the barbers there are really nice and friendly and maybe if you go there one day you could make a new best buddy or friends. 😊 next time I'm there I'll ask the owner for permission to take some pictures from inside the store and post them on the reviews so you can see what I'm talking about. )

Came here to get my haircut by Brandon (guy with the big beard). It was the best haircut I have ever gotten . This guy is pure class and talent. Not only is he a phenomenal barber buy a stylist as well . Highly recommend this guy. He's an absolute BEAST .

My Barber Mike is awesome. I’ve been going to him for over a year now. He’s laid back and takes his time when he cuts my hair. I always come out feeling like a new man. His schedule is flexible too. I can come anytime in the morning before work which is convenient for me. More importantly my barber is a great friend of mine so that makes it all the better.
