Started coming to Bud’s after my regular barber moved out of the city. Everyone there that’s cuts my hair has been great. I steadily go to Ryan. He knows what I want and what looks good and me. Great guy. Bud and company promote a fun and welcoming experience for all. 10/10 recommend.

I always, always look forward to my haircut with Bud at Bud's Barbershop. He's been cutting my hair for several years(!) now. First when he was working for a local barbershop chain near where I live. And then these days at his own shop in South Philly. The haircuts I get from him are always superb and meticulously done. In addition, he's just a great, stand-up guy--straightforward, considerate, dependable, hardworking, intelligent, down-to-earth. Hardly a surprise then that the overall vibe and culture at his shop is always welcoming, low-key, and friendly, yet still thoroughly professional. So if you’re looking for a place for a solid barber’s cut, and have a good time getting one, you simply can’t go wrong with booking a cut at Bud’s Barbershop. I know Bud has limited availability these days. I also know however how careful and intentional he has been in building up his own shop that I have no doubt at all that anyone on his team will do just as well by you to give you a nice barbershop experience and an awesome haircut. Finally, just wanted to add, the music at the shop always, always rocks!

I've been getting my hair cut my whole life, but once I sat in Bud's chair, my life completely changed for the better. The fade this man gave me should be hung in the Louvre. His attention to detail is impeccable, as is his music taste. Don't be stupid–Get your hair cut by Bud or one of his excellent team of barbers. You will feel reborn. Great shop. Go Birds.

Bud is an absolute menace with scissors and clippers. He used to cut my hair while he was apprenticing in D.C., and I will make any excuse I can to take a trip to Philly to catch a proper fade for myself and my two young boys. Vibe of the shop is solid. Haircuts are off the charts. And, from what I can tell, the other barbers are equally amazing.

I’ve been to a lot of barbers over the years, but Bud is on another level. You can tell right away he actually cares about his craft — he’s not just giving haircuts, he’s dialing in the details. The vibe in the shop is laid-back but professional, He takes the time to listen to what you want, and somehow makes it look even better than anything I imagined. I walked out feeling like a new man — clean fade, zero awkward small talk (unless you want it). If you’re looking for a barber who gets it right every single time, Bud’s your guy. Worth every penny.

Hands down the best barbershop in Philly. Met Bud when he was working at his previous spot and followed him to his own shop. Staff are incredibly friendly and nearly all of them have cut my hair and are phenomenal. I even came to get my haircut here when I was living 1000 miles away. Great experience and always professional. Will not get my haircut anywhere else in Philly.

Bud and team are a squad of amazing barbers and wonderful people. My husband has been going to Bud for 6 years and has seen almost everyone at the shop over the years and always comes home looking super fresh. The whole team is consistent on output and prices are extremely reasonable. Good human beings to boot!

Bud’s is the best spot I’ve found in Philly. I usually go to T but all of the barbers are top notch. The vibe is solid - Barbers are friendly and welcoming, which hasn’t been my experience so much at other shops. Would highly recommend.

Took my boyfriend's son for his 1st haircut in over a year. Terrence was amazing. We will be back. Prices aren't as high as I thought. But I belive we got what we paid for !

I've lived in Philly for six years. During my time here, I would pop into random barbershops for haircuts. None of the barbers or the shops left an impression on me and I never returned. A few months back a friend and colleague suggested that I go down to Bud's Barbershop. He had a great experience and thought that I would have one as well. From the second that I walked into the shop, I saw posters on the wall of Wu-Tang Clan, Nine Inch Nails, The Clash, MF Doom, etc. Right then, I knew that I was in the right place. Then I met Bud and for lack of a better term, we instantly became buds. He is super easy to talk to, cool as hell and a great barber. The vibe in the shop is great, the prices are reasonable and I have never had a problem finding parking down there. Lastly, a major plus for all of us busy folks out there....they are open on Sundays. No other barbershops that I have come across have hours on a Sunday. A major plus if you ask me. If Bud doesn't have availability, no matter. He has some great barbers working in the shop who are just as cool and talented. After a long time of searching, I have finally found my barbershop. Go down there to 16th & Ritner and see them.
