I brought my tween son here based off a recommendation for Rog Tha Barber. The shop is in the Keswick area of Glenside. At first, I was a bit apprehensive because my tween is SUPER PICKY about his haircuts. Upon our arrival, Rog consulted with my son about his desired style. Within fifteen minutes, my tween son had the exact desired haircut! Rog is a talented barber, and he has a generous spirit. While my son and I walked to our car, he asked if he can begin using this shop. That confirmed how pleased my tween is with his haircut. Did I mention this cut was $10 less expensive, too?! We will definitely be using ROG THE BARBER @ All Star Barber Shop! FYI. I posted pics of my son on their website. He's wearing a gray tee with a couple side profile pics. The Google review wouldn't allow me to post them w this review.

I heard of this shop thru FB. Specifically, Rog Tha Barber who had a FB ad. Now, I have a tween son who's VERY PICKY about his haircut, so we were a bit nervous to try a new barber. Upon arrival, Rog greeted us and consulted w my son on his desired haircut. Rog was a consummate professional. Rog had my son looking sharp within fifteen minutes! As we were leaving, my son asked if he can begin coming to Rog Tha Barber, for his cuts. To me, this confirmed the quality of the haircuts Rog is performing. Run, don't walk to this Gelside gem!

I have been getting my haircut here for the last 4 years, even after leaving the area. All the barbers do a great job cutting your hair. The owner is the man.

The owner, Frank has been cutting my hair for over 20 years and i have introduced a handful of guys to his shop that have become regulars like myself. My son has been tagging along now for the past 5 years and highly recommend this shop!

I went to a young Barber and after the hair cut he never gave me the mirror to inspect the cut witch normally happens. I gave the young man a nice tip after showering at home I noticed a section gouge on the top of my scalp my girlfriend confirmed. I call the owner to express my concern and forwarded pictures. He said he would try to fix. I returned 2 days later and had someone translate to the young barber being his English was weak. His demeanor was very bla with concern and no apologies. Very disappointing.

I moved to the area and tried a couple places around the area, won't name them here, but most were okay. Price wise, I basically spent the same amount with tip at all the locations. I call All Star, ask if I can get an appointment, they said walk in. I was hesitant because that's what every barber said so far, and I had waited 30-40 minutes outside several times.... I waited maybe 4 minutes in the lobby. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, no questions asked and he did me up good! I have not had a cut this good in years. I will only go here as long as I'm in the area for now on. Awesome Philadelphia/sports atmosphere too. I could not talk more highly of them. 👏

I think they cut my hair after somebody with ringworms or something. It's been really itchy, and I have some hair loss too. My first visit was fine, but after that, they started hiring new people and it's gotten worse and worse. One of the new younger guys that had long hair, forgot the cut the back of the hair on my head, and it was extremely uneven. The second time they took 1 hour and 15 minutes, and it just average, kind of on the poor side. The music there is great, and it's very well kept. Bathroom, for the most part, is well maintained. But the barbers there aren't the best. My overall rate of the shop is about a 3.5/10.
