Wanted to have a scissors only European cut. The guy did it more than I expected. One of the best barbers in Queens.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and after looking at a few barbers in the community, I decided to go to Nelson's and it did not disappoint! I think Miguel gave me a cut and beard trim - and while there was a slight language barrier, there was a female barber/stylist who was able to relay what i wanted to him. The cut was thorough and quick and I had 0 complaints or concerns. I will definitely be coming here from now on. Nelson even recognized it was my first time as I was leaving and its small things like that that really make a difference. Thank you so much - looking forward to my next cut!

Great experience! I was able to do a walk-in visit with no wait time. Nelson, my barber, was really attentive to detail. His fade was on point. I highly recommend his barber shop!

Not thrilled by the service and atmosphere of the place. The brushes didn't look like they were very clean and the price didn't reflect the quality I get elsewhere so won't be back for sure.

This place was pretty good considering how much I had to pay for the cut. I am a man with a lot of hair especially on the body so my cut took about a solid hour to do. I also had to make an appointment a few hours prior to the time listed. I showed up 15 minutes earlier then expected since it’s right on queens blvd and waited another 15 mins after my due time because my barber Juan was taking care of someone else. The shop is pretty small but has an ATM and a vending machine which is pretty cool. They have Hispanic songs playing through speakers and a flat screen tv displaying the video in which the audio comes from. There are about 6-8 stylists/barbers who apparently are certified by the national barber association and the school of barbers which I searched up to be a legit source. The certificates are plastered on each booth to show the authenticity and quality of the barber because they work as independent contractors who are leading a space from the person who owns the place. I gave my barber clear instructions and he followed them appropriately. I was patient with him as he was with me and he even gave me a slight discount because I told him I was going to leave a review on google maps which is what I’m doing now. So overall not a bad place to get a haircut from.

By far one of the best and most reasonably priced barbershops. They are very welcoming and the owner is such a great individual. I never leave disappointed and have tried so many hairstyles because of the trust i have in each of their skills. I recommend this place to all my friends and any one that asks!

5 stars easily - Juan is my preferred hair stylist. Good conversation and very good haircut. Reasonable prices which have been increased quite understandably as they were closed for 3 months. Safety precautions are being undertaken due to COVID-19.
