Gi did an awesome job with my teenage son's hair. All scissors and nicely layered. It's the first haircut that he's been excited about in years. I highly recommend this place and to ask for Gi if you have a little bit longer hair.

Absolute best barbershop on Staten Island. I've been going to Billy and Jackie for years now, but you can't go wrong with any barber here. It's the only shop I'll go to.

I can’t even express enough into words how amazing my experience with Gi was. What an incredibly kind, patient and caring person she was to my son who has autism. She not only calmed him down like I’ve never seen anyone else do, but also helped me feel calm during the process. Thank you Gi for making us feel so comfortable and giving Ben a great haircut!!

We were recommended by a friend to come to Fresh Kills. We booked with Gi and it was, overall, such a pleasant experience. This barbershop is just so cool. My four year old son loved the toys cars on the shelves and the arcade in the back. Most importantly, Gi was so friendly and kind. My son was so comfortable chatting with her as she cut his hair. She was also knowledgeable about hair. My son has difficult hair to style and cut. Gi did an amazing job. Everyone here seemed so welcoming and kind. My son cried leaving the barbershop… he wanted to stay. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the good experience.

I’ve been going to Jackie at Fresh Kills Barber Shop for years, and she’s hands down the best. Always consistent, super friendly, and knows exactly what I want every time. The shop has a great vibe, and Jackie makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Jackie & the rest of the Fresh Kills staff are the best of the best! She has been cutting my son’s hair for the last 6 years and we will never go anywhere else. Jackie is one of the few people my son is comfortable with and I love her for that. He has the best experience every time!

Did a walk in on a Friday. If you understand barbershops that’s usually a no no…yet Fresh Kills was able to find availability , on a typically busy day. Had a great experience there with G. Great atmosphere and I’ll definitely will be back 🙏🏻🤙🏻

There is nowhere else we would consider going. It is the Cheers of barbershops. My boys enjoy coming here for every appointment, always greeted warmly and engaged in great conversation. The crew has such a great interaction with one another that it is such a joy to be in their presence. Fresh Kills for the win every single time!

Great haircut but 30 for a shape up...robbery. Then they say “come in we’ll refund you the difference no problem” to stay face for the reviews so I travel 40 minutes out of way for them to say “that was a full haircut” Do not go here if you need a simple shape up any place on Staten Island will give you the same haircut for half the price ... before and after ...did nothing but shape up but he insisted to take off the top if I knew if he charged an additional haircut I would have said no ..
