We had such a great experience with Al! He cut my one-year-old son’s hair for the first time and also did my husband’s haircut and both came out amazing. With my husband, Al was extremely detail-oriented and precise. You can tell he takes pride in his work. The cut was clean, sharp, and exactly what my husband wanted. What really stood out was how he handled my one-year-old. He was so patient, kind, and calm the entire time. As a mom, I honestly didn’t even know how to explain what I wanted for my son but Al just knew. He managed to keep his hair looking clean, natural, and age-appropriate while still giving it a polished look. And he did it with little to no help from me. If you’re looking for someone who is talented, professional, and amazing with kids, I highly recommend Al. We will definitely be back.

First time there. AL (real nice buy too) cut my hair like i have been going there for 20 years. great cut. took his time and asked my opinion through out the cut. Can wait to go back.

Poor customer service, I walked in and there was another gentleman that walked in after me, but they decided to cut him first despite me being there before him and I stated that I would be able to be cut by anyone there. I did make an appointment just to be on the safe side which was at a later time, but I did mention verbally to them that I’m happy to be cut by whoever since I was there early. All they care about is the money and not about customer service. They didn’t even bother to follow up with me. Also, I waited for almost an hour there And I had a lot of my time wasted. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor will. I share this with my friends and colleagues in Staten Island. I definitely will not be coming back anytime soon. Even when I’m working the appointment online, it did not specify who I would be cut by when booking an appointment.

Always an amazing experience at American Dream I have been going there since they first opened and i have had great experiences ever since. Kenny always gets me right no matter what. Absolutely would recommend to anyone.

I had highly recommended this place to a friend who booked an appointment with Bruno. He had a confirmed visit. Then right before the appointment they swapped him with another guy and then just told him he might have to wait and lied to him about some other guy that had cancelled “accidentally.” A complete lie. If they were honest and just said what actually happened and were just behind schedule, that would have been a perfectly reasonable excuse, but the fact that they were dishonest is where they lost me and a future customer. I’m embarrassed for having recommended them. Do better.

Just had an amazing experience at American Dream Barbershop with Kenan — hands down one of the best barbers I’ve ever been to. He took his time, paid attention to every detail, and made sure I walked out with exactly the look I wanted. Super professional and talented. The shop itself is incredibly welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I was offered complimentary snacks and drinks, which was such a nice touch. The whole vibe is clean, modern, and comfortable. Everyone there was friendly and made me feel right at home. If you’re looking for a top-notch haircut in a great atmosphere, definitely check out Kenan at American Dream Barbershop. Highly recommend!

I was just another regular walk in. Needed an emergency cut, for a birthday event. It was quite busy at a time and I had to wait a little, but thankfully for me they managed to fit me in right on time. Their hard work and determination to make this business a nice and welcoming environment for all costumers it’s what made me like them even more. Especially the amount of good care they take of kids, making them laugh and offering them something small like a lollipop as a treat. Will surely be coming back and getting another haircut!!

I am exceptionally disappointed with the service I received here. Check the photos to see my cut. The reviews were all great so I figured I'd give it a try. I was growing my hair out and asked for a very low taper in the back, sides left alone, and I resulted with an all-around fade. Not only did I not receive the cut I requested, but the fade is horrible and I can see lots of lines. It looks like it's about 1 inch longer on the right than left. He dry scissor cut to blend into the longer hair and just kept chopping away. It's so poorly blended. Even had I asked for a fade, it's bottom 5% of fades I've ever received. He cut off about 6 months of growth that I wanted to keep and did a poor job at that. I feel like the barber was very clearly struggling and the owner did not intervene. I gave myself better haircuts during COVID. Extremely disappointed and I'd advise anyone to stay away.

Bruno’s shop not only gives phenomenal cuts and shaves he instantly makes you feel like family. He is kind, caring and loves what he does. His cuts are proof its done with passion and care for every person that steps into his shop.
