As a barbershop owner I highly recommend this barbershop . I was in town and needed a touch up I came in and everyone was welcoming and friendly I sat with Josh and he hooked me up with a fresh fade! Stop by you won’t be disappointed!

Josh is amazing. He cuts it exactly the way you want it to look and constantly makes adjustments along the way to give you the perfect cut every time. True professional of the craft and I cant thank him enough for his hospitality during the cut. Just don't see that anymore.

Bella did such an amazing job on my 1.5yr old son who really doesn’t like hair cuts and has very straight hair so it’s very obvious when the cut isn’t good. She was so patient with him and it is truly the best cut he’s had (he’s had a few as his hair grows so fast!)

Best haircut I've had in a long, long time. I've tried a ton of barbers on the UES and my biggest gripe is they never listen and the end result is what they want to do, not what you ask for. Asking for long on top and a classic scissor cut always starts with the typical "is this a good length off" question, followed endless "evening things out" so that by the end they've taken off double the amount. But not here. I had a walk-in with David last week and much to my surprise he listened, took his time and gave a great cut. I really couldn't be happier. It's taken me a long time, but I think I found my new barber.

Consistent and reliable barbershop. One of the best haircuts I’ve had. As an added bonus they have alcohol if you care for it. David is awesome, very kind, and is an expert hairstylist.

Bella, David, Steve. Best barbers ever!!!! They work miracles!!! They also keep up to date on the trendy hair styles. There hands down the best barbers I have ever had. They also run the best shop on the upper east side. I have been to many barbers there the best period!!!!!!

I never write reviews, but had to share my experience of finding Bella at Smart Barber over a year ago. I had been to numerous barber shops with great reviews all over Manhattan before finding Smart Barber and I can honestly say that no one provides a better haircut than Bella. If you are looking for the right barber or right barbershop, look no further! Take this review as me saving you time to find the best barber in New York!

When I lived very close by to Smart Barber , I thought I’d give it a try because it looks like a really nice place. Everything looks new, there’s exposed brick, it’s really nicely done. When I actually got my hair cut, it was incredible. Eli’s whole family gives great cuts so if you walk in, you’ll leave with a great haircut, but I prefer Eli when I have time to schedule an appointment. I would definitely recommend.
