Why hire a wack barber in a place called “NY Best Barber”? Don’t go here unless you wanna walk out the shop with your haircut and hairline messed up. And on top of that, they don’t even clean their clippers properly or clean their customers up after the cut. No professionalism at all.

I bring my grandson to Gamboa, and he is truly an exceptional barber. He’s patient, gentle, and always makes my grandson feel comfortable—on top of giving him an amazing haircut every single time. The barbershop itself is excellent: clean, organized, and a beautiful space to walk into. You can tell they take pride in their work and their environment. If you’re looking for an amazing barber, I highly recommend visiting Gamboa. You won’t be disappointed!

I always get the best haircuts here. The service is excellent and they honor appointment times. Frank is a great barber, I highly recommend him for anyone getting a fade or any style of haircut.

Small shop, but amazing cuts. I’ve been going to Frank for a year now and he’s been consistent every time. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a solid barber.

Really excellent and surprisingly affordable barber shop. I first came for a walk-in, and was so impressed with the cut that I now schedule directly with Geronimo, one of the many talented barbers here. If you’re looking for a fresh cut, especially for Latino or Black hair, this is the place.

For the past couple of months to a year I’ve been getting my hair cut by a barber named Kelvin, and to be fair the first couple of times he did very well. However recently he’s been doing really, really, bad while not listening and charging high. I requested a lil bit off of the top (Dark Caesar Cut) and he left my head looking almost bald while messing up my beard on top of that. And then at the end he charged $45 with a straight face like he didn’t mess up anything. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy, stay away for the sake of your hair and not getting clowned outside.

My family and I have been going to NY Best Barber and following Anthony the Barber for over 20 years. No matter where he moves, we move with him—he’s just that good. Anthony is not only an excellent and precise barber, but he also truly cares about his work. I don’t care how long the wait is—he’s the only one I trust to cut my son’s hair. Anthony sets the tone for the shop, and his entire team follows his lead. Every barber in this shop is top-tier—their hands are made of gold. You always leave looking better than when you came in. The shop is in a great location, right off the train station in East Harlem, making it super convenient. Carlos and Frank are amazing! My partner and I were visiting for Christmas 2025 and needed last-minute haircuts on Christmas Eve. The owner fit us into the schedule, and we couldn’t have been happier with the results—truly the best haircuts we’ve ever had! Carlos and Frank are incredibly talented, professional, and friendly. I wish we could take them back to Houston, TX with us. Highly recommend their services and this Barber Shop! P.S. - I was personally assigned to Carlos, and he is incredibly detail-oriented. He made sure every detail was perfect and didn’t miss a thing.

Best barber shop in Harlem everyone is very nice and friendly. They’re all like a family. My favorite is Anthony , he treats everyone with respect and gives the best haircuts !! I travel from Brooklyn to Harlem every time just to get a haircut. They never disappoint I definitely recommend with no doubts ! 🙌
