I had my first haircut at Martial Vivot Men’s west village Hair Salon and it was an amazing experience. Frederic B. did my haircut and I can honestly say he brought back my confidence and my smile. He really took the time to understand what would suit me best, and the result was perfect. His professionalism, attention to detail, and skill truly stand out. From the moment I arrived, everything was excellent. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. The whole experience—from check-in to the final result—was smooth, relaxing, and very professional. I highly recommend this hair salon. If you visit, make sure to ask for Frederic B. Roberson is truly the best barber I’ve found in NYC. his energy, passion, attention to detail, and constant drive to learn and learn new techniques have made me his regular customer. After quite a long search for a reliable barber, happy to have found Roberson. And what a bargain to get him at the junior stylist price.

Frederic is a magician with hair and an absolute legend. His hair cuts stand the test of time, even the day before my 4 week check in, it still looks amazing. 10/10 recommend

Frederic is a true master of his craft! I've been getting my hair cut by Frederic for over 15 years, and I genuinely wouldn't trust anyone else with it. He is extremely careful, highly trained, and always stays on top of his game. Whether I’m going for a clean classic look or something more modern, he nails it every single time. Not only is he meticulous with his work, but he's also a great guy to spend time with. It's more than just a haircut when you sit in Frederic’s chair; it’s an experience. I’ve been going to Fred Boudet for almost 10 years, and so happy he joined this salon. I love the atmosphere and people who work there. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Whether I want a clean corporate cut, something super short, or a more military look, he always nails it. He’s skilled, consistent, friendly, and genuinely cares about his clients. Fred is one of those rare people you meet and just know you’ll stick with for life. Adding a pic of my summer cut.

Having been to many hair salons and barbershops in NYC, I have had the best experience and haircuts at Martial Vivot, with stylist Robertson. He is super talented and passionate, takes the time to consistently give a precise haircut that fits great. I couldn't ask for more and only wish I had known this place sooner. 100% recommend.

Great experience with Roberson! I came in looking like a sheep and came out super cool :) He was very nice explaining me the good and cons of my hair, how to take care of them. He proposed me a very nice new style making sure it was in my taste from the beginning to the end. I also enjoyed the massage with the shampoo and conditioner, the nice drink and the beard extra care. Recommended!

Book stylist Roberson! I feel like a million bucks every time I get a new haircut from Roberson! He is fantastic and an amazingly skilled stylist! Obviously very passionate, he is laser focused on you and having your hair looking tip top shelf. The atmosphere and service at Martial Vivot is top notch as well from front desk, refreshing drink, great shampoo, excellent cut, beard and moustache trim and style, hot towel, final styling and Roberson is also known to give a nice relaxing massage. He gives you his full, thorough, non rushed, expert attention and makes sure you’re thrilled with your hair from start to finish. I’m so glad I found Roberson! I love all the compliments I get for my hair!
