My husband booked this salon for my birthday, and let’s just say it was a whole vibe from the moment I walked in. I usually go to a barber shop in Westchester, so this was a big switch-up. It had been three months since my last cut, and I was long overdue for something fresh. From the start, the experience was just soothing. My hair was washed by someone who was gentle, kind, and present. Exactly what I needed after a packed week of work. And then I met Simon. Low key, I was exhausted. I sat down in his chair, gave him zero direction beyond, “I’m a horticulturist, this is how I roll, surprise me.” I legit dozed off while he worked. But when I woke up and saw what Simon had done? Magic. Pure, effortless magic. He turned my thick, heavy hair into something light, stunning, and full of movement. I felt like a more grounded, brighter version of myself. Simon is an artist one who listens, sees people, and somehow translates energy into shape and flow. Before I leave Italy, I know I’ll be back in his chair. This place didn’t just give me a haircut, it gave me a moment of peace, beauty, and surprise. Highly, highly recommend.

I’ve been getting my haircut from Danielle on Long Island for over 5 years and recommend her every opportunity I get. She recently started working at Martial Vivot 54th St. so I had to come and support. After the experience, I will only come see Danielle in the city. While her expertise didn’t change, the vibe and service exceeded all of my expectations. From the cold drinks served in beautiful glassware, the hair massage/wash, hot towel after the shave, and the overall ambience, her service has been elevated to a different level. While her prices are significantly more expensive in Manhattan, I would have paid double for the experience. On a personal note, seeing Danielle thrive in this new environment really made me proud. This is where she belongs, surrounded by the best, because she is one of them.
