Era is the best barber I’ve had in NYC. Had a hard time trying to find a good barber that can trim hair AND do tapers. He also always does my designs so clean each time. I definitely recommend.

Walked in from the street and they happened to have availability. Era cut my son’s hair and did a great job. He did not take too much off the top (like my son requested), cleaned up the back and sides nicely, and respected his natural hairline. We will definitely be back.

Amazing! We were searching for a place that we can consistently bring our son for a haircut and let me tell you- meeting Jonathan accomplished just that! Jonathan makes getting regular haircuts and experience- he is great with kids, eases any fears, goes through the process step by step and is patient and so skilled. Also- a BONUS is that he can also do designs (my son loves a lightening bolt recently)! Hands down the best! Go see Jonathan for a great human being and an excellent and skilled barber.

Hands down one of the best barbers in New York. I’ve been to several shops across Manhattan, but Michael at Made Man in Chelsea is on another level. He’s incredibly meticulous — you can tell within five minutes that he takes real pride in his craft. I showed him a reference photo once, and he not only nailed it but somehow made it look even cleaner and more natural for my face shape and hair texture. Every cut feels consistent — the fade blends perfectly, the neckline is crisp, and he always checks in throughout to make sure the length and shape are exactly how I want it. He also gives genuinely good advice on how to style and maintain my hair between visits, which is rare. I came in today with a clear reference photo of the haircut I wanted a clean, medium-length style with natural flow and volume (photo attached). What I ended up with looks nothing like it. The barber cut the sides way too short, the back is uneven and sticks up awkwardly, and the top is nowhere near the right length or shape. When I brought it up, the barber tried to make excuses, saying my hair wasn’t as thick as the guy in the photo, but that doesn’t justify ignoring the overall shape and proportions. He also insisted the back was “the same,” even though it clearly isn’t. This was a completely disappointing experience. Although they didn't charge me, now I’ll have to wait weeks for it to grow out enough to fix. Definitely would not recommend this place if you expect barbers to follow instructions or match reference photos accurately.
