Took my son here for his first haircut and was very impressed. Jacob was great and made him feel comfortable. My son loved his new look and felt so handsome. We will definitely be coming back soon.

I am a regular. Jacob is a superb barber and a very, very nice man. I love getting my hair cut at this shop. He is not only my favorite barber, he is a good friend. I highly recommend this barber shop. I always feel like a new man when I leave the shop.

I’ve been coming here all my life and I can tell you it’s the best! Best service, atmosphere, and experience all around! Once you come to Jean Romano, you’ll never want to switch barber shops!

Jean Romano is hands down the best barbershop on the Upper East Side. Maybe even in all of Manhattan. I’ve been to countless spots over the years, but nothing compares to the experience here. From the second you walk in, you feel like family. It’s that rare mix of old-school craftsmanship and modern style. Every cut is done with precision. They actually listen to what you want and somehow make it look even better than what you pictured. The space is clean, welcoming, and has that classic barbershop energy without the ego. Conversations are easy and the vibe is just right. You walk out not just looking sharp but feeling good too. I’ve brought friends here. I’ve sent family. Everyone becomes a regular. That’s the kind of place this is. If you care about how you look and how you’re treated, go to Jean Romano. This isn’t just a haircut. It’s a ritual. A reset. A tradition you’ll want to be a part of. Can’t recommend it enough.

I’ve been coming to Jacob at Jean Romano Barber Shop for 20 years — that says it all. He’s consistent, sharp, and always delivers a clean cut. Super chill vibe, no nonsense, just great service every time. If you want a barber who gets it right every single time, Jacob’s your guy.

The best cut in town! Both Jacob and Solomon are masterful barbers, and I'm always happy with my haircuts from them. I've been coming to them for about a year at this point, and don't have any plans to stop. They are also great guys, and their prices are extremely reasonable!

Jacob is the absolute best. I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. I have been going to him for over 12 years. He is the best barber I have ever used. Simply a terrific guy as well.

I began going to this barbershop about 3 years ago when I moved to the upper east side. Both Jacob and Solomon are excellent barbers who are wizards with a pair of clippers. I’ve never been dissatisfied with my haircuts from them ever. Even those around me compliment me about my haircuts. Not only do you get an excellent haircut but great service. Jacob and Solomon have treated me as family everytime I go. These men not only care about your scalp but you as a person. Their prices are extremely reasonable and you get a bang for your buck.

I am very dissatisfied with my haircut by Salamon. I said to him that I want my hair to be long and neat. He said okay and then cut the hair on my sides short and left the back long. He made the assumption that was what I wanted, only the back long, not a wise assumption. If I order a hamburger in a restaurant, is okay for the waiter to assume that I want it medium? Salamon also assumed where I wanted my hair parted, resulting in a lousy overall appearance which, as a result, I cover up with a cap. If the customer doesn't say what he wants, then the servicing person should ask, not assume. He asked me whether I wanted my eyebrows trimmed at the very start of the haircut, but no other questions. To make matters worse, he kept hitting the top of my earlobe every time he brushed my hair to the left.
