I had my haircut today with Ghani, and it was a great experience! He’s not only super friendly, but also really skilled at what he does. I made sure to ask for his name because he’s such a kind person, and trust me—he’ll make you look and feel really cool. 😎 Highly recommend!

This barbershop is hands-down my go-to spot. Sam always hooks it up with fast, stylish cuts and some of the cleanest fades you’ll find anywhere. The vibe is unbeatable; great convo, great music, and an overall chill atmosphere that makes every visit something to look forward to. Sam’s attention to detail is next level, and he keeps things moving without ever rushing. If you want consistent quality, good energy, and a sharp look every time, this is the spot.

Best barbers in the city! My boy told me to visit Anthony, one time. Never stopped visiting Anthony and Tazi after that. All of these guys do good consistent work, they’re good people, and shop is always clean with good music.

Nice barbershop can’t complain until I got cut by Wasim. Listen I tried to refrain from writing this review because Ive had good experiences up until now but when looking at the mirror pisses you off every-time you see it, it gets hard. I have 4C hair, this means that all kinds of people get scissor-happy when they see your hair. Despite this the barbers of Famous cutz have been respectful and always did a good job, which is why I was a regular. Each time I would say, don’t touch the top and they respect that - for this reason I’ve kept a healthy full head of hair with a strong hairline for years. I misbooked, and was paired with a new barber Wasim who appeared uncomfortable with my texture. Not wanting to rebook, and after he pled, I stayed. I told him not to touch the top, he said “I just want to remove the fuzzies.” I told him to stop. By that time the damage was done. Reader, if you know anything about 4C hair you would know, that all of 4C hair is just “fuzzies” to those who don’t have it. Lo and behold, when I got home I was missing a chunk of hair from my head that will take months to regrow, and my cut will look weird for months to come. In NYC a bad haircut can destroy your esteem. So yeah, minus one star, will book with others next time. If you don’t feel comfortable doing something don’t do it - especially not at this price.

Barber was able to see me right away, so I went at a good time. There was another customer present, also a walk-in, asking all the barbers when they were gonna be able to see him, every couple minutes. And my dude, to his credit, didn't hurt through my haircut and managed to get me squared away and still keep the hurried guy happy. Great haircut. Not too expensive for Manhattan. This is a good local spot to get your hair sharpened up.

Sam is the best barber in NYC. Been going to him for a couple years now and wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. He does amazing fades and is a great dude. I've sent many friends his way, who now go to him all the time as well. If you need a great fade, this is where to go.

Tazi is no doubt one of the best barbers Ive had cut my hair. A genuinely friendly, down to earth guy who's been very consistent with quality time and time again. He does an excellent fade and has great scissor skills. It also helps that he takes his time making sure everything is right, nothing feels rushed. Great barbers deserve recognition, good job! I'll definitely keep coming back here.

By far Famous Cuts is the place you need to be if you're looking for high quality cuts without breaking the bank. Everyone working there is super friendly and skilled at what they do. The shop is amazing with ample amounts of sunlight and also has a modern aesthetic. Originally I had a previous barber from another barbershop mess up my hair. Lou took the time to listen to my concerns he also aligned with me by saying that he knows sometimes other barbers can be unfocused and tend to make mistakes because they're re just chasing a quick buck. He also assured me that he will get my hair back to what I want it to be. Thanks to Lou and Famous Cuts my hair is 10 out of 10. You know what they say, if you look good, you feel good... if you feel good, you do good!

I went to this new Barber Shop yesterday and received the best haircut in years. I can't recommend them highly enough! Their prices are easily the best in the neighborhood, and their skilll is extremely high as well. I think that my favorite thing about Famous Cutz is that I don't feel rushed in and out as I usually do in other Haircutting establishments! I really felt that I was cared for by someone who had a lot of skill and who had pride in his work, I will be back, for sure!
