I’ve lived in NYC for 15 years and gotten my hair cut at many places. From cheap spots to over priced salons. East Village Barbershop is the best! Professional, high quality and they do what you ask for. Ruben is awesome and friendly. Have gotten numerous cuts and fades. Highly recommend supporting this small business.

Ruben did such a great job! He cut my boyfriend’s hair and it’s the first haircut of his I’ve ever liked haha! He was very attentive and listened to what he wanted. He was so fun and nice!

I’ve been coming to East Village Barbershop for a year now and it’s hands down my favorite spot in the neighborhood. Ruben is the guy I go to and he always delivers. He’s consistent, detail-oriented, and makes sure I leave looking sharp every time. Super easy to talk to and actually listens to what you want. The shop itself has a chill, welcoming vibe and never feels rushed, even when it’s busy. Prices are fair for the quality and the service, and you can count on a great cut every single time. If you’re looking for a reliable barbershop in the East Village, this is the place. Ruben keeps me coming back.

Ruben is a great Barber , my hair and beard were a mess and did not want to start my New York trip looking less than great :) Besides having a very sensitive beard and neck , he took his time to make sure my skin does not irritate, styled my hair and fixed to match my beard cut. Spent a full hour and besides the great cut and conversation , i never felt the time pasi g. recommend 100%
