Have tried many barbers in NYC. None quite get it right like Gabriel. I have stiff Asian hair and many barbers do not know how to cut nor style it. Gabriel does the best fades and is great with scissors. Have been coming here for 2+ years and will be continue to be here for many more! Would give 10 stars if I could

A great neighborhood shop just wide enough for your chair and your barber to stand behind you. They’re in the middle of a redesign but it was still comfortable. I’ve had Frankie cut my hair several times and have always been satisfied. He’s also responded to my comments about his previous cut and made the changes I asked for it. And the best part about it is that on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday seniors like myself get a cut for only $25, $35 for all the youngsters! I highly recommend this place.

I have been coming to this shop for several years, and I highly recommend this to anyone. After my 1st haircut, I immediately switched all of my future barber appointments and haven't looked back. I am getting ready to move across the country this week, and finding a new barber to compare with my experience here will be a tall order.

We had been hit by Sandy, but thanks to Bloomberg the City was quickly getting back on track. I had just moved in with my then-girlfriend to a 'cozy' studio on the UWS and was in search for a new barbershop. The spots I'd tried near work in TriBeCa were all too sterile for my taste and, as a recent emigre, I was quickly growing tired of the bad haircuts that come with trying out new barbers. So what a relief when I stepped into the tiny alcove of Boutique Barber Shop on 72nd. While staff have come and go, and prices have (fairly) risen over time, Alex the owner and the quality of his teams' cuts have remained constant. The ritual has been a treasured thread in my New York story. Waiting in the fast-moving line...brushing shoulders with ancient Zaydees, Wall Street Masters of the Universe, aspiring Collegiate toddlers, Lincoln Center musicians, and more...talking shop about neighborhood openings and closing...discussing politicians (i.e. who needs 'em!)...wind chilled by the Hudson whipping down 72nd and freezing my newly cropped hair, etc. Now, after 12 years my NYC story has come to an end and it's time to say goodbye. Thank you Alex, Gabriel, Frankie, and the entire crew for such great haircuts over the years!

I’ve been going to Alex, Gabriel, and Frankie for over two years now and truly look no further. I had been dying to find a barbershop I trusted since I first moved to NYC 6 years ago and I was so relieved to find these gentlemen. Extremely affordable, fast, and personable. And family owned and run.

Gabriel and his father are two of the best barbers in Manhattan. I've tried expensive stylist and barbers all throughout the city until I found them. They listen and care about making you happy with your haircut. I highly recommend them 👍

The BEST on the UWS. These guys know their stuff and make my hair look excellent. Owner Alex is a gentleman and master barber and he has instilled the same qualities in the next generation of barbers there Gabriel and Frankie. Small shop, fast service, great attitude. Highly Recommended if looking for a new barber

Gabriel and his father Alex are amazing at their craft! It's been really difficult for me to find a barber I trust but every time I walk out of their shop I feel and look fantastic. Most guys would say it takes a few days after a haircut for you to look yourself, I thought the same until I found this barber shop. Genuinely couldn't be more happy when I walked in for my second time and Gabriel remembered, without me prompting, the style I wanted my hair cut, the number buzzer for the sides, and how I look my bread trimmed. It's difficult experience to replicate and impossible to fake that level of attention to detail that clearly shows care for how the customer wants to look. If that wasn't enough they are extremely affordable and half of what I used to pay in FiDi at more than double the quality. After being loyal to a barber who lost her business I couldn't be more grateful that I stumbled upon Alex, Gabriel and Boutique Barber Shop on my walk home from dinner. I took a chance and they did not disappoint. What I also admire about this place is their flexible hours. Open 7 days a week 8:30 on Weekdays and 9:30 on weekends. I'm also proud to support a local, family owned and operated, business that lives up the level of service, consistency and quality that makes you excited to return. 10/10 would recommend.

The best Men’s Barbershop I have ever been to! They give great classic style/new in style hair cuts and pretty much do a great job with any style of a hair cut you can ask for! They also give great beard trims and the staff are some of the most down to earth nicest people you will meet! I highly recommend this place if you want a great haircut and the prices for the outstanding quality haircuts they are giving are amazing! I’ve been going here for two years now!
