Emmanuel is a life saver! Decided to get a haircut at first from this Chinese barber in Chinatown and boy did they mess it up. I wish I had a picture but it was so bad. The hair was very uneven and lopsided. Decided to come to best in class today. Emmanuel did an AMAZING JOB! Not only did he give a good haircut, we had a great conversation together. I’m super happy I found this barber. I will definitely be back 100% $65 for men’s hair cut. He’s doing gods work! So grateful that he fixed my messed up hair. I LOVE YOU.

My husband goes to Best in Class Barbershop in SoHo like clockwork. No surprises. No “let’s try something different.” Just Manny. I have strong feelings about haircuts. A bad one is immediately noticeable. A good one should look effortless. Manny understands this. The cuts are clean, precise, and tailored… sharp without being flashy. The fade is exact. The shape works with his face. It grows out properly, which tells you everything. He looks polished but not overly groomed, which in New York is a skill. The shop has that quiet downtown confidence. No theatrics. No over-talking. Just people who know what they’re doing.

My fiancé gets his haircut here all the time, and every single time he comes home, I’m so impressed with how good it looks. Manny is seriously talented — you can tell he’s a perfectionist because every cut is super clean and precise. Whenever I go with my fiancé, Manny is always so kind and generous. He makes sure you’re comfortable, cracks a few jokes and even offers you a nice drink — whiskey, tequila, whatever you like! It’s just such a great vibe, and he really goes above and beyond. Highly recommend Manny - truly a top-notch barber!

I’ve lived in NYC for 1 year and have tried a lot of the chain barbershops (even multiple times with some barbers), but the quality of haircuts always felt inconsistent. Manny is one of the best barbers I’ve had in both Chicago and NYC. His precision, consistency, and focus on the client once they sit in his barber chair is second to none. Not to mention, he offers complementary top shelf whiskey, scotch, and tequila.

Attention to detail is exquisite. Manny takes pride in his work AND has a great sense of humor. Update: Second visit to Manny around 2 years later when I was finally back in the area. Again, amazing job done. He is competent, comfortable and very skilled in his craft.

Updated: still top notch after 4 visits. Whether a quick trim or full cut, Emmanuel gets it right and has some damn good stories. Feel free to bring in a photo (or just ask for advice) and you're gonna get your hair crafted (and beard) toward what you want. Thank you for an awesome time, great chat, and top notch cut and groom. Best haircut experience I’ve had in any of the five boroughs. The attention to comfort and atmosphere is second only to the attention to detail on your cut. I experienced a level of craftsmanship usually reserved to places 3 even 4 times the price - never before has a barber catered to the nuance of every curl and cowlick on my whole crown! Walk-ins should expect prime New York conversation, abundant snacks, and every request met. I’m a regular after just one visit - tell Manny that Sam sent ya.
