I feel like Google reviews (mine included) are full of people complaining about bad haircuts. I have zero complaints about the Barber Shop on 56th. I’ve been coming to Joseph for months now and each haircut is better than the one before. The key: he listens. I don’t always know exactly what I want, but I always walk out looking great. I’ve had longer haircuts, down to my most recent fade with a 2/1 on the sides and back and I’ve been happy with each one. I’ve also been to Mario on a day when I needed a cut but Joseph was unavailable and that haircut was also excellent. At this point, I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

Bad haircut, overpriced. Went 3 times for the same cut- Charged 3 different prices: 45, then 75, then 92!! For that last price - Bad fade, uneven line up, stray hair lengths, no products used except shaving cream. Charged for a $45 shave when it was just a beard line up! Not even a beard trim. Unbelievable.

I stumbled upon this place 4 years ago, and I’m so glad I did. I have been going back ever since. Mario is a fantastic barber. I trust him to take great care of me. He pays attention to every detail. And, he has become a friend, chatting when - we are both energetic - about personal lives and the world around us, or just letting me relax when it has been a tough day or week. Related to the quality of his cut, I even mentioned him in a best man’s speech. The rest of the team is great, too! If you are looking for a new regular barber, or you are just in town and need a cut, I would definitely recommend Barber Shop on 56th.

What I asked for vs what I've got. Can't do a proper fade, didnt wash my hair nor the clippers. Got itchy right away. I got thin hair and he cut me like they were thick, now its thiner than ever. Nice gift for a Christmas Eve.

Been going here for several years and they are the best barbershop in the area! Great value for the quality of haircut, and everyone here, - Joseph, Wee, and Mario - are extremely kind and professional. They know how to cut all kinds of different hair too, I’m Asian and have long / straight hair and Wee cuts it perfectly. Highly recommend!

I've been going here for about 8 years to see Mario and it's always an excellent haircut and a first-class experience. Mario is meticulous and always does a great job. I've grown facial hair over the last few years and Mario is always on-point with the beard trim as well. The shop itself is always clean and everybody is always friendly. Can not recommend this place enough!

Mr. Wee gave me a fantastic, very detailed, hair cut. He is very professional, always making sure to go above and beyond. I’ve been going to him for a year now and have never had any complains. Great location, Great prices, Great haircut

I was recommend by a friend to visit Mario at this Barber Shop- what a nightmare. I told him I wanted to keep it long and just a clean up. And I walked out looking like an 80’s reject. The back was longer then sides like a mullet. The front was two different lengths and then he cuts off my sideburns not paying attention to its obvious length. Horrible experience, I would run from this place like the plague!
