I recently moved from Queens and was looking for a good barber, and Orlando definitely checks all the boxes. He’s always on time, understands modern haircuts, and actually sees you at your scheduled appointment time. Most importantly, he won’t push back your hairline. O&A Dominican Barbershop is by far the best barbershop I’ve visited in the past 12 years. The place has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, spotless cleanliness, and great amenities such as coffee, water, well-balanced background music, and spacious seating to relax while you wait for your turn. As for the barbers, they are all highly professional. I personally get my haircut with ORLANDO, who works with excellent skills and precision, leaving you looking brand new every time. He is truly a highly recommended barber. Overall, this is a place I always enjoy visiting. Excellent service and an excellent environment.

After struggling to find the right barber since moving out of Queens, Orlando took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and even offered some great advice on how to style my cut. He checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy. O & A barbershop is a very clean and friendly place

Followed Ambiorix all the way from Oceanside because he’s one of the best to ever do it. He really takes his time with each person and every haircut comes out looking even better than the last. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been getting my hair cut by Ambiorix for years—originally at his shop in Oceanside, and now I follow him weekly to O&A Dominican Barbershop in Merrick. This new location is excellent: it’s clean, everything inside is brand new, and parking is usually easy. Ambiorix is always professional, welcoming, and attentive. I usually get a haircut and a shave, and he consistently delivers top-notch results. He even offers drinks or coffee while you wait, which is a nice touch. Plus, I love that I can bring my small dog with me sometimes—super pet-friendly and relaxed vibe. If you’re looking for a new barber who really knows his craft and takes care of his clients, definitely give this place a try.

A great experience every time. Orlando has been cutting both of my son’s hair for the past three years , making it a great time each time. He is always patient and engaging with them. They were comfortable with him from the beginning and actually look forward to their haircuts each time!
