These guys give awesome cuts and are helpful in getting you something if you don’t know exactly what you want. Great environment and service and barbers, would totally recommend them. New favorite local spot

I’ve been coming here for years, but ever since the new management took over, this place just isn’t the same. I went in for a cut and showed the barber a photo of my previous haircut. I even offered multiple photos (all of me with the same style), but he still messed it up. The moment he started using clippers on the top of my long hair, I knew it was over. Halfway through I told him, “You cut too much!” — and instead of owning it, he gave me every excuse in the book. His main defense was that I “used the wrong terminology.” But here’s the thing: if I’m not using the right wording, as a professional barber you should clarify and educate me to make sure we’re on the same page — not just nod along and then blame me afterward. At one point he said I asked for a skin fade, then a light fade, then an undercut. Which is it? If you can’t even be consistent with your own terminology, how am I supposed to trust the cut? The entire shop got quiet because they knew it was a major mistake. Months of growing my hair out — gone in one sitting. Bottom line: If you’re looking for anything beyond a basic fade or quick trim, I would not recommend this place anymore. UPDATE: I was so upset this morning that I called the shop and spoke with the manager. To my surprise, I got more of the same excuses. They offered to “fix” the cut, but with most of my hair already chopped, there’s really nothing left to fix. I requested a refund, but they refused to acknowledge their mistake or offer any form of compensation. What’s most disappointing is the complete lack of accountability and customer care — instead of owning up to what happened, they brushed it off as if my time, money, and trust didn’t matter.

I moved here to Hicksville from queens where there are a lot of great barbers and I was looking for a great barbershop. This place is the epitome of great service and skilled barbers across the board. My go to is Wilson and johan is great too! Can’t go wrong. Great prices and great location. Check them out:

Unprofessional experience. Been going here for years with great service and friendly attitudes. Went in for a haircut with my son got seated quickly, I only got a trim my son got a cut and fade. The barber with the man bun and tattoos, asked my son what he wanted, he said an inch off the top and a fade on back and sides, barber asks what kind of fade and he said I’m not sure what do you think. Barber starts cutting and ignores. Then at the end of the hair cut which took about 10 minutes (he was done before me and I have little to no hair on my head), my son asks the barber to give him more of a fade, then the barber gets agitated and says “now I’m giving you two haircuts, I have to charge you extra, I asked you what you wanted and you didn’t know” me and my son are shocked because the barber is now loud and everyone in the shop is confused looking. And my barber keeps apologizing to me about his coworkers behavior. Instead of the barber just explaining what a 1,2,3 fade is in length with his finger he argued it should just be known. So my son said give me a 2, and the barber continued arguing, about how he wasted his time. So he cut my son’s hair again but he didn’t really. There still is no fade. Here’s the proof. Not a bad place to get haircut just avoid the one barber.

I have been going to this barbershop for a few years now and I figured it was about time that I shared my thoughts on this establishment. The first time I walked in, I remember getting a friendly and welcoming greeting by the shop owner, David. David is a man's man, he remembers his customers, is very welcoming, and makes sure to address all customer who walk through his door. I've gotten high skin fades and beard trim from David and I was always happier when leaving the shop, I felt like a new man. The shop is always clean and their equipment is well kept. These guys really are the Kings of Fades. I've been cutting my hair with Johan as of lately, he gets my fades on point, Johan never misses and always exceeds expectations. Any requests I have for Johan he makes sure to fulfill. I've gotten cut with Wilson as well before, these guys are true professionals and you can tell that they have years, if not decades, of experience. I have sent my brother to this shop and he is also now a regular because he noticed the level of workmanship. We both got our cuts recently for my ceremony and got lots of compliments of our haircuts.

Very professional service here. I looked at the reviews and went and it was a great experience. Davids place has an old school barbershop feel to it while very modern at the same time in the experience. Highly recommended if you are nearby.

I am very happy with my haircut! Very fun atmosphere with great people running the shop. David was very easy to talk to you and knowledgeable when it came to cutting hair. I’m sure I will come back.
