I have known Alex for over 8 years. I used to go to him regularly when he was in Huntington. So did my son. A few months ago, I moved out East, and Alex opened a new beautiful store in Hicksville - a 30-minute drive for me. My new home is a five-minute drive from at least five barber shops. But I learned over the years, what is it that makes a barber shop unique and why I would choose to drive 30 minutes to get my haircut! It's not the buzzer, or the scissors or the gel - it's the experience from start to finish - when you walk-into a friendly shop and the owner smiles at you. To sitting on the chair while he carefully finds out what you like, even if he's known you for years! Things change - with me, I decided to buzz my hair on my own, my wife hated it and Alex fixed it. We also had a few good laughs in the process. If you haven't tried Alex, give it a shot, you'll thank me later.

Haircuts are always consistent here, usually get a low or mid skin fade once a month and never been disappointed. Friendly staff and great service!

Absolutely the best been going to Alex’s for awhile always nothing but the best. The guys are great, for a while I tried to find a good barbershop, and this is the place. The only place I’ll go to.

Great experience every time. Been going for over a decade and have suggested many close friends and family. Every barber in the shop is top tier and wouldn’t shy away from suggesting anyone to any of them. Alex’s Barber Shop is the definition of class.

Went in today for a haircut After moving back into the area and still the same faces and friendly people. Got a great haircut quick and efficient at a great price. Will definitely now that I am back in the area be getting my haircut here! Thanks Alex!

I’ve been going to Alex’s Barber Shop in Hicksville since day 1 when he was on the other side of the parking lot. I cannot say enough about how great everyone is there, I’ve had my haircut by every barber in the place including Alex’s son Avi, my son has also been getting his haircut there since he is 5 years old, now he’s 14. I could go on and on about how wonderful it is there, but seeing for yourself is necessary. Remember if you’re looking for a cheap haircut that’s exactly what you’ll be walking around with, a CHEAP LOOKING haircut. Go to Alex’s

The best of the best! The team at Alex’s Barber Shop provide top notch customer service and never disappoint. My haircut is never rushed, looks perfect and always consistent every time, and greatly priced with never having to wait to get into the chair. Would never consider going to any other shop and will always recommend.

I came in at 2:00pm, trying to get a skin taper from the guy wearing a hat. They do not know what the meaning of a taper is. They don’t even know how to do a fade. To them a taper is just a shave — no resolution, no gradient (this probably applies to their fades too).. They are not skilled. They don’t use different guards. They don’t use scissors. They don't use combs. They will cut your hair in 7 minutes and ask for $24 even if there are no other customers in the room. When you don’t tip, they’ll wonder why. Take a look at this awful “taper” they gave me… literally took some clippers with no guard and went up and down for 5 minutes !!! I am not exaggerating! People have been asking me if I cut my hair by myself, and honestIy that’s an insult to me because I’d have at least used a guard or some scissors! Worst barber I’ve been to thus far. If you received a bad haircut, I encourage you to take a photo and expose these frauds!! They're so phony they even post fake reviews to inflate their numbers!
