I’ve been going to Alex for over 10 years now, and he’s not just my barber, he’s my brother. Nobody cuts like him—he’s consistent, detailed, and always makes sure I walk out looking fresh. Alex is truly the best of the best, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my cut

I've been coming here for about 2 years now. Alex is a great guy and part of the community. He's meticulous with his work and his haircuts last a long time "I can easily go a month between cuts". He doesn't take appointments and it's first come first served which I prefer. Sometimes there's a wait but it's worth it.

Alex—which is definitely his name, in case it comes up—gives a great hair cut and beard trim and I’m very picky about that sort of thing. He’s been cutting hair a long time and his personality hasn’t scared most of his clients off, so you KNOW his cuts are great. 😂🙏

I've been coming to Alex for haircuts since I was 12, and he never disappoints. His skills are top-notch, always leaving me with an amazing cut. Alex's conversations are engaging, making every visit enjoyable. He consistently prioritizes his customers' comfort and convenience, ensuring a great experience every time. Highly recommend Alex for anyone seeking a fantastic barber! If you are looking for a therapist and a barber you’ve found your place. We’re lucky to have this spot in Astoria

Good old fashioned barber shop. Mario always provides a great cut, seems to know what will look good on your head. Usually don't have to wait much. No fuss haircuts.

Alex has been nothing but the greatest and nicest barber that I have encountered. I love walking into the store feeling welcomed and home. I enjoy watching the news with Alex and also listening to the rap music he provides makes me feel like I’m at home. For all the haters out there skidadle.

The hidden gem in queens for your haircuts, shaves, beard trims and awesome conversations!!! Alex is a master at his craft. I’ve never had a bad cut or bad experience with him. I get a cut every week do to my job and since my move I drive from Brooklyn to Queens because he’s unbeatable!!!! His second chair Mario is also great with his old school Italian charm. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a good barber.

No-nonsense old-school style barber shop. Leave your political correctness at the door and enjoy a great cut and/or shave by a long-term Astorian. Alex, the owner and main barber is meticulous with the clippers and shears. He does a great job every time, with just the right amount of time. He never rushes and never takes too long like some other barbers. I guess you could say he's got it into the Goldie-Lox zone. I've never had to wait more than 2-3 people in line to get seated, but it can get busy. Alex encourages folks to call in and check on the wait. The reading material is always fresh and in good condition. You won't find worn, dated, year-old issues of the same Maxim or Road & Track like some other places. He's got the good stuff too. Popular Science, National Geographic. More than just bro-mags. Stuff to feed your senses and your brain a little. I've only been going to Alex for about 6 months now since leaving my old barber shop for reasons we won't speak of, but I have to say I'm very please with the experience and getting a haircut is an even shorter walk for me now. I will continue to frequent this establishment as long as I'm an Astoria resident and have hair.
