This is a good spot to get your haircut. It’s worth the price. As someone with long, curly hair, I have always gotten great haircuts from Luis. He's always been able to do proper maintenance cuts on my hair (even though it's long and curly). Luis knows what he’s doing, and he also listens to the clients needs. (Plus he's fluent in speaking English, which is huge for non-Spanish speaking clients.) You can’t go wrong here.

Came in today with my son without an appointment expecting to have a long wait but the two brothers quickly squeezed us in between appointments. They were both excellent in their artistry and craft. The ambiance was modern, clean and just right, without overpowering music. If you need a new barbershop, look no further and give AK Studios Barbershop a try, you won’t regret it!!

Nelvin has been cutting my hair for over a decade and now he has his own place. Super proud of him and he is a true professional. This new shop of his excellent. Love coming him. Most importantly, they know how to cut hair and provide very professional customer service.

Roman is the man. I’m getting older, so my hair has to last. Every barber I went to before kept pushing my hairline back, making my hair look crazy. With Roman, that stopped completely. He never pushes my hairline back—if anything, he fixes it and makes me look 10 years younger. He truly understands hair and knows how to layer it properly, making my hair look fuller and completely natural. The haircut is always on point and, most importantly, always the same great result. Stop going to barbers who are hit or miss. Roman is worth every dollar. Roman is MVP.

10/10 recommend. Roman did an amazing job, he’s meticulous with great attention to detail and wants your hair to actually look good for you. The shop itself has a great vibe and in a great location. The barbers are friendly and professional and the floors were always kept clean.

Am Studios is the place to go to in the area if you are looking the best barber services. The studio owner Luis is so humble and respectful. His communication skills are absolutely great. He is an artist at his work. Highly recommended 5 star ⭐️

The Venue: The shop is clean, comfortable, and easy to find, with plenty of parking around, no stress at all getting there. What I really like is that it’s simple and straightforward, not one of those fancy places trying to promote a bunch of stuff you don’t need. The barbers there are super down to earth and know exactly what they’re doing. They’re talented, skilled, and always on time, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s just a solid, honest barbershop with a great vibe. The Barber: I’ve been getting my hair cut by Nelvin for about five years now, and honestly, I wouldn’t go to anyone else. He’s super talented, pays attention to every little detail, and somehow always knows exactly what I’m looking for—even when I don’t say much. When he moved shops, I followed him without question. That’s how good he is. On top of being a great barber, he’s just a genuinely good guy—patient, easy to talk to, and really takes pride in what he does. If you want a barber who actually cares and will have you looking clean every time, Nelvin is your guy. Highly recommend.

Followed my barber to this new location. Place has a nice vibe to it. Shop extremely clean and modern. Three barbers were there and all with clients in the chairs. Prices are competitive and hours are accommodating to your schedule. Parking is metered or nearby garage. Btw, go for that extra hour because Metuchen meter patrols are out there to give you that ticket. Plenty of places to eat or drink if you need to.
