The appointment started 20 minutes late, after which I received a mediocre shampoo and a very uneven haircut that doesn't style like I want.

Aayush, <br>Im really sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience at our shop. We try to maintain our schedules so that we are not running behind, but it does sometimes happen. It is never our intention to waste anyones time waiting for us, so for that, I apologize. We are passionate about what we do and try to treat each and every client with the attention they deserve and it seems as if we did not do that in multiple ways. I want to do my best to make it up to you by offering to make any adjustments to the haircut. Also in an effort to rectify the situation, Id like to offer an additional free haircut. 7/12/25 Carlos was unfamiliar with term balding fade and left my husband's hair too long. Once he got home we realized the barber did not shape up either the front or the back of the hair, looking sloppy. I have no idea why the ear area was the only part noticeably trimmed but that was because it was a 1/2 inch arch around the entire hairline of the ears. $50 is a ripoff for what he was left with and I wish he had demanded a refund

I’ve been going to Andre at Virile in Jersey City for the past two years since moving to the neighborhood, and I genuinely can’t recommend him enough. From day one, Andre has been consistent, professional, and incredibly skilled at what he does. He takes the time to understand exactly what you’re looking for, offers great suggestions when asked, and always delivers a sharp, clean cut that grows out well too. The vibe at Virile is always welcoming—classic, stylish, and never pretentious. It’s the kind of place you look forward to visiting. Jorge gave me an awesome haircut. He was very meticulous and made sure I got the cut I wanted. I was hesitant at first to get a haircut while he was still a trainee but his process and attention to detail got the job done well!

Been my go to barber shop for 2+ years. Relaxing atmosphere when they greet you walking in, offer refreshments, and cater to your desire haircut. Plus you can not ignore their mascot

Tried a few barber shops in Jersey City. None come close to Virile barbershop! They do an amazing job with you beard and haircuts. The dog(Chunk) is definitely a plus!
