I recently visited Richard with my son for haircuts, and I can’t recommend him highly enough! Richard did an outstanding job on both of us—my cut was precise, fresh, and exactly what I wanted, and he was incredibly patient and skilled with my son, making the whole experience fun and stress-free for him too. The shop itself is a really nice spot: clean, welcoming, and with a relaxed yet professional vibe that makes you feel right at home. Everything from the service to the attention to detail feels top-notch. Richard is clearly a true professional who takes pride in his work.

The space is beautiful and I was warmly welcomed by my barber, Andersson. I didn’t need much but light scissors around and a beard trim. Andersson’s cut and trim was good. I afterwords asked if they normally wash hair, so after my cut we went to the wash basin (standard procedure when getting a cut in midtown). I was surprised to see they charged me $8 for a hair wash after my already $45 haircut and $30 beard trim. So after tip, I spent close to $100, which seems a bit off market here in the JC Heights. For that price tag, I would expect exceptional service, quality and a hair wash included. Great space and friendly folks but pricing was high.

Had never been to a barbershop before and for a first time I was so impressed. The place is cozy and inviting, the barber who took care of me John was very kind and accommodating as I was lost and didn't know what to do with my hair. Left it on his hands and he delivered. Great spot I will be coming back 100% recommended to anybody looking for a spot to get a haircut and a nice chat.

To find a trusted hair stylist is a pain and after quite a while I am happy to review a spot where you can bank on. Sharise is a n excellent barber and a stylist. She would listen to your requirements and apply her 30+ yrs of experience to better suit a cut that aligns with your face type. Topping off a cut with calming hot towel was nice! If you want a scissor cut with a layered blend in, go for Sharise! Overall, its a great spot - very welcoming, Rich is attentive and makes sure you have a comfortable experience.

Took my 5 year old here for a kids cut. Richard and the salon were great!! I was tired of taking him to kids only salons and it being an okay or not so great job. This was the perfect blend of a great haircut while still being kid friendly. We definitely recommend to other parents for kids, but also for adults.

I go to Tom & Henry every 2 weeks for a cut. Absolutely love this place, it’s classic, clean and staffs are very friendly. It makes me feel like home. They have complimentary drinks like water and coffee for adults, and juice boxes for kids. They also have TVs in front of each chair that can keep you entertained during your cut.

First time at Tom+Henry Barbershop and Rich gave me one of the best fades I’ve ever had. It matched perfectly with my head shape and worked great with my curls. I’ve got a wedding coming up and he still squeezed me in last minute, even though he was packed. Really chill guy and the shop has a warm, family vibe. Super welcoming, and the place looks amazing. If you’re ever in town, you gotta stop by.

Just had my first cut with Rich, and I’m seriously impressed. Super clean fade, great attention to detail, and the vibe in the shop was relaxed and welcoming. You can tell they really care about getting it right. Definitely found my new go-to barber.
