My teen son has been going here for the past year & they always have him looking sharp. However, customers should know that the price on the website is NOT what will be charged to your credit card. I like the option of being able to CHOOSE the tip amount. This business will pick whatever tip they decide and add that to the total cost! I find this wrong on a few different levels. I was under the impression that I would be charged $25 for my 13 yr olds shape up, I receive the receipt & there’s $10 more added for tip. Let people know the TOTAL prior to them scheduling Kobe. You could lose customers trying to be shady. I mean this is the first time I’m using their new scheduling app & I'm not satisfied AT ALL. How are you going to rectify this?

Im sorry that you didn't understand what service you were getting for your son. You booked an appointment for a SHAPE UP which is $25 but your son wanted a taper with his shapeup that changed the price to a Haircut which is $35. Your copy of receipt does not include any TIP. Just the charge of the service, HAIRCUT $35. However I would never add a tip for myself without any consent of the client. Your statement is extremely inaccurate. After the service was done I told him to tell you that he changed the services from SHAPE UP to HAIRCUT. I will always give the service the client states. Ive been in business for 10 years and we have never been accused of being shady. There is nothing to rectify. You paid for a service that was complete. <br>No tip was added. <br>I'm back in the shop on Thursday if you need a clear explanation. Kobe.

This place takes unprofessional to a whole new level. On my son’s birthday I scheduled him to see Kobe (the owner) and my son came home with an old school old man’s haircut, apparently I sent him back because previously he did an okay job but after that birthday mess up I switched barbers. The next person I sent him to was Freddie he is a good barber but he gets drunk obviously because he smells like it and he disrespected my son by telling him I’m a bad parent for allowing him to grow an Afro? (What my son should have said is I’ve been growing my hair because I’ve been looking for a new barber because you all are whack)He’s lucky I was busy and forgot to come check him because he would’ve gotten read through and through, he does okay work but he needs to watch his mouth and his language around children. Against my better judgement and the fact that they are the only black owned barbershop in the downtown Jersey area so I sent him back for the fourth and last time. The pictures I posted was the last straw, not only is he bumped up and scratched up but his hairline is ridiculous, one side was perfect but the other side looks like a beginner stepped in and forgot what the other side looked like. Then the guy had the nerve to shoot a video of his work as if he did a great job, on top of that he did not ask for my consent? At this point I wouldn’t send my worse enemy here… you all can be the judge, check out the pictures I posted and you tell me if you’d put your hairline on the line. I gave one star because this place is hit and miss, especially if your a child, the broke men who don’t tip get respect and good haircuts but not kids whose parents are teaching them to tip for service. Thanks but no thanks, my son said he will never return again. He’d rather grow his talked about Afro out until we can find a place that has real dedicated barbers who appreciate their customers. P.s. we believe in tipping well, even though they charge 30 for a cut we still tip and this is what we got in return.

Terrible experience, they don’t take walk ins but did not honor my appointment. Extremely unprofessional. My wife booked a 9am appointment for my son to get cut by Freddy. It’s now 9:33am and the shop is closed. Called and left a message with no results. I was looking for a long term barber for my son and I but clearly KobeCuts Ain’t it.

This barbershop is the epitome of a professional and family oriented atmosphere where people are treated not only as clients but as family. I moved to Jersey City a year ago and Frederick gave me my first haircut and it was an utter great experience. the rest is history. I've never stopped going there. Frederick is a top notch barber Great atmosphere and always a good quality cut. Check them out! I highly recommend. Big up Frederick and plenty of respect to the Barbers at Kobecut barbershop

I guess when the barber realized my card was charged already, he felt like he didn't have to give me quality service. I look like I went to a barber school rather than a professional. When I book an appointment they always give me this guy.

Kobe has been cutting my Son's hair for over a year now. He is professional and has this amazing system so that you can schedule your appointments and pay on line. Kobe always has my Son looking smooth when he is done!!! I love this shop!!! And will not take him anywhere else. ☺️

Kobe provided a top notch beard trim and overall barbershop experience. Easy to see availability and schedule appointments online which is an added plus. Very professional, clean environment and I'd definitely recommend him.

My sons having been coming here since 2016. This is one of the best barber shops they’ve been to. The team is very professionally, clean, they can do versatile cuts on all hair types which is a major plus not all barbers can, trust me we’ve been to many. I love that I can book appointments online as well, super convenient. My boys always get complimented on their cuts by others. Glad I found this spot.

KobeCuts is the barber shop you've seen on every barbershop themed movie. The shop is filled with laughter, sports, manly debates (more or less of sports, love and women) more laughter and really excellent barbers. These dudes make you feel comfortable in the shop as if you've been coming there for years. Pick a barber any barber you won't be disappointed.
