I couldn’t be happier with my visit to Controversia Barbershop. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of by Daniel. The atmosphere is super clean, stylish, and comfortable you can tell they take a lot of pride in their shop. My barber really listened to what I wanted and paid such close attention to every detail. The cut turned out even better than I imagined sharp, fresh, and exactly my style. They didn’t rush at all and made sure everything was perfect before I left the chair. What I love most is how professional and friendly everyone is. You feel like more than just a customer they genuinely care about giving you a great experience. I’ve been to a lot of barbershops, but Controversia Barbershop is on another level. If you’re looking for a place that knows how to give a proper cut, amazing fades, and top-notch service, do yourself a favor and book an appointment here. Highly recommend I won’t be going anywhere else!

Jhunior is my barber and is the best there is service is top tier and close my eyes and turn into a new man. Overall the barber shop atmosphere feels welcoming to all race and cultures.

Exceptional Service & Immaculate Barbershop! I had an amazing experience at this barbershop! My barber Michael did a fantastic job : sharp haircut, perfectly shaped beard, and an incredibly refreshing hot towel treatment that left my face feeling great. The attention to detail was top-notch, and the shop itself was spotless, clean, and welcoming. The atmosphere was professional yet relaxing. Best barbers in the area for sure. You will pay 40+ depending on what you’re getting. I personally go once in a while and they always do a fantastic job. Every one of the guys are skilled

If less than 1 star was possible, that’s what i would give this shop. Barbers are untrained and will absolutely mess up your hair. If you value your hair, don’t trust them here even though they will swear up and down they are “good barbers”

This barbershop is full of skilled barbers for all types of hairstyles and haircuts. Daniel has been my barber for 7+ years never have had any inconveniences, very accommodating, and skilled barber. Best barber in Jersey city for sure!
