Spesh is the best in Hoboken I won’t go anywhere else!!! Steven knows exactly what you need and always delivers amazing results. His salon is warm and inviting and you always leave feeling like a friend. He took so much care to make sure everything was how I wanted it and I couldn’t be happier with my hair. I don’t know why is took me 4 years to finally try out Spesh, but I am glad I did. Place was great. Really cool vibe with good music. As a walk in I got 5 minute consultation on what kind of hair cut I wanted before we even started. Rebecca is awesome.

I made an appointment for my husband on Sunday because I saw the great reviews and I'm so sad to say that this is the worst haircut I have ever seen. It's so miserable I think I could have done a better job. There are so many tiny long strands of hair in the front that I had to cut off.. and the back was completely uneven. They shaved the bottom bit and out of no where long hair sits on top of it. No gradual gradient whatsoever.. it was so sad that I had a great laugh about how bad it was. I mean whoever who did this must have never cut hair before and that's just sad that they do not have a basic standard at this salon.. I can't believe he paid for this to be honest.

What can we say about Spesh? Was looking for a place that was safe, clean and LGBTQ friendly. Spesh did not disappoint. Rebecca is friendly, professional and took me as a walk in while I waited for my son's appointment. Paula did my son's hair and did an incredible job. They followed all safety protocols, even sanitizing the chairs before and after we used them. Thank you very much Spesh for making us feel welcome and doing such a terrific job. You will see us again.

A local barber recommended speak as I was looking to make a dramatic change to my long hair. I visited Splesh Friday morning and booked an appointment for later the same day. My stylist would be Nancy. I arrived on time and was in the chair within 7 minutes. I was scared to make this change to my hair, but Nancy assured me we would go slow. I couldn’t have been happier with my results. Navy rocked my hair, gave me suggestions on managing it and gave me a cut that compliments my personality. Awesome service, awesome staff and great music. I’ll be back and have found my stylist!!

I love this place. The vibes are great. I love how clean it is and makes sense to charge a little more given the COVID-19 circumstances. Barbers take their time with the haircut and spend extra time sanitizing their instruments and stations before taking you in. Given the current state of the world I do appreciate a place that takes extra steps in cleanliness and safety measures. Everyone here is an expert, super friendly and knowledgeable in sanitation and cosmetology. Worth every penny.

The best place in Hoboken to get a haircut for men! As soon as you walk in you can tell this is not your ordinary barbershop. The shop is extremely clean and has an awesome ambiance. The receptionist attends to you right away and always offers a drink. I've been a customer with Steven for over a year and will never go anywhere else. His precision and style is exactly what you are looking for if you want a top quality cut and style. Highly recommend!

I have been to Spesh 5-6 times since moving to Hoboken. The service has been great during each visit and a cut was $45 plus tip ( not inexpensive but good quality). Unfortunately, when going to book my next appointment I realized they increased their prices significantly. Now a haircut with tip is in the $75 range. I’m fine paying more for better quality, but within reason. I will be looking for a new spot to go now.

I travel around 40 min to go to Spesh specifically for the music and the awesome talent. Today I had Paula and she was fantastic. Just a good soul and down to earth. She gave me a super clean cut. I got a little frazzled when she styled my hair because it’s not how I usually wear it, but when styled how I’m ‘used to’ it was a bang up job. I will be back and will keep using her for sure.

When traveling to Hoboken I decided to check out Spesh. I was incredibly impressed with the friendliness, cleanliness and service at Spesh Barbershop. Due to my facial features, a short hairstyle that's short on the back and the sides of the head as well as slightly long on the top is what best suits me. When explaining this to one of the stylists he told me that he knew exactly what I was looking for. It turned out great and the high school reunion I attended later that week was full of tons of positive compliments, most of which were about my hair! :-)
