Being new to Jersey City I had a difficult time finding a barber. Someone recommended checking out this shop and seeing Herbert and I do not regret it. I drive 20+ minutes every 1-2 weeks to this shop when there are plenty of shops closer because I know Herb pays great attention to detail. By far the best haircut I’ve received. Couldn’t recommend this shop enough.

I've recently switched barbers and started going to Denise a few months back. From the first consultation and haircut i knew I found someone I could trust with my hair. I was in the process of switching to a new hair style and he gave me some very good insights and his experience was definitely on show. 1000% would recommend giving Denise a try, you wont be disappointed.

I've tried over five hairstylists in Hoboken and could never find someone who consistently gives a good cut. One day, while walking past D&V Barber Shop, I noticed in the window Cynthia cutting a client's hair. Her meticulous attention to detail stood out, so I immediately booked my next cut with her. Now, I can confidently say I've found the best hairstylist in Hoboken. Cynthia pays exceptional attention to every detail, both in understanding your request and executing it perfectly for your hair type. She's the only stylist I know who takes notes on her clients. During your next visit, she reviews the previous cut and discusses any changes you might want. She takes her time and does a fantastic job. On top of that, she's a pleasure to talk to, which makes the haircut experience even better.

I just came back from my second experience with Cynthia at D&V Barbershop. The first time was great and I wanted to see if it was a consistent thing. It was. Cynthia is really knowledgable, really listens, and is really talented. She did a great job on the person in the chair when I arrived (balding guy with straight hair, closely cut), with me (medium long, curly hair) and with the guy after me with wavy hair. (I hung out for a few to answer some work email, so I had a chance to notice). Nice folks, affordable, local people who get it. I now have a new fave.

I've been going to Cynthia for seven years now, and I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. She's amazing at what she does and pays attention to every little detail. Plus, she's always flexible with scheduling and always acts like a true professional. Cynthia doesn't just cut hair; she goes the extra mile with the products and services she uses and offers. Whether it's recommending the perfect styling gel or giving tips on how to keep your hair healthy, she's always there to help. If you want a top of the line mens haircut from someone who’s been in the Hoboken community for years go see Cynthia.

Just got my haircut with Cynthia, she does an awesome job. Takes the time to achieve the best haircut each time you go. Best barbershop in town - great people and the highest quality. Hopefully nobody sees this and ruins the secret.

Very upset/disheartened with the experience I just had at D&V's. There were a multitude of things that were unprofessional and unacceptable, but I guess pictures might do the most justice. Worst haircut of my life. I'm actually very disappointed because I loved the place the first time I went and I thought it would be my go-to spot in Hoboken.
