I moved to Troy in 2021 and spent a long time searching for the right barber. I finally found my go to at J’s Barbershop and I haven’t looked back. J always keeps the conversation fun and engaging, and she genuinely cares about making every cut perfect. I leave every appointment smiling, with a great haircut and even a free coffee. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Jess for haircuts for a few years and she does a fantastic job. Very friendly and always has the best music playing. Scheduling an appointment is easy and I'm always in and out within 20min. I highly recommend her services.

When getting a hair cut its usually hit or miss even when getting a hair cut by the same person multiple times. My issue is I get my hair cut with a scissor cut on top and fade on the sides. Usually you can find someone that is good at one or the other bur rarely both. Jess delivers a GREAT cut on BOTH every time. I've never gotten a bad cut from her and I will only go to her from now on. Great conversations every time too. Jess is 1 of 1 and the cut 10 out of 10!

I can't recommend Jess and J's Barbershop enough. She always does such a fantastic job that I ended up trusting her to update my style. After moving, I needed to find a new spot and after several attempts around town, I'm glad I finally found J's. Two years on I'm bringing my kids too as she's friendly and quick. She's always professional, effective, and I'm able to get booked when I need a cut.

J keeps me straight. I've recommended her to many, and will continue to do so. Can cut, stays on schedule and is always making sure that I'm good with my cut before I leave.

Jessica does an amazing job on both of my kiddos. She keeps my son’s mullet looking top notch and shows amazing patience while he gets silly. She handles my chatty 9 year old with ease. She is the only one that I let touch my kids or husbands hair.

Jessica is really talented! I've been going to salons for awhile, but they never really seemed to know enough about what my hair needed or how to give me what I wanted. I went in for a haircut and I really liked Jessica because she's incredibly knowledgeable about hair and will talk with you on what you want and make a plan with you for it. I have curly hair and I basically wanted it to be more curly: -She talked to me about what she was planning on doing to achieve it(make it shorter in the back so it wasn't as heavy). -She made sure I liked the shortness -She talked to me about my edges to make sure I was going to like the shape. She was very logical and incredibly capable! Her shampooing is so relaxing too!! She was also super fun to chat with and has great music!

Jessica is amazing. Not only is she great with thick hair, but she is able to cut in very diverse styles. Super nice and fun!! Definitely worth the 45 minute drive.
