That pricing policy where it can jump 75% for your second visit is keeping me from even trying it out. That's absurd. Imagine if a restaurant did this, or a doctor. I can get my kids hair cut for $20 including the tip at many, many other spots.

I will be reporting this review . You are making claims on a barbershop, you’ve never been to. You’ve never been here before . You were never serviced here. Your review even says it . If you come into the barbershop EVERY TIME as a walk in customer , it will be $20 for a child under 12. First barber available. IF you’re trying to request the same particular Barber , you are not a walk-in client. The prices will change based on your same-day appointment policy.<br>

I went in that shop solely to support a black owned business and got the best facial I've had in ages. That will be my new monthly facial destination.

Arrived and waited for about an hour plus…just to leave without a haircut. Since nobody greet or asked if I was doing a walk in or not. While continuing to goof around, also taking in guys who came in after me….absolutely terrible customer service 👎 if you do go there , you’re definitely going to be waiting for awhile. Which I had to do the last 2-3 times, so I went today and confirmed that nothing changed from that place…🤨

Well, I’m sorry unfortunately, this situation happened. I find it hard. Did you say every time you go there, You have to wait a long time and you’ve been to the barbershop multiple times. Is there any reason why you would not set up an appointment or lock in with a particular Barber so you won’t have this incident. We have a lot of people coming to the Barbershop who are families or friends of clients who are not getting service so we never know who’s getting cut. You’ve also said that they were speaking to other people besides yourself I’m just asking did they ask them? Were they walkins or not ? thank you for your review. Can you tell me which day and time you came to the barbershop? It helps use in our shop meetings . I’ll look back on the video.

I walked in to get my 2 year old grandson to get a haircut. It was nice, the barber was nice. The cost was 20 and I gave him a $5 tip a couple weeks later I wanted to take my grandson back to the same barber and was told a cut would be 35 because it won't be his first time seeing this barber. Mind you he's 2 and head is not that big it took about 20 min to cut. Iwas told if I wanted to pay $20 I could be a walk in and see the first available barber. This was disappointing and as a result loss what could have been a loyal customer. Fyi this is not good practice. You should definitely honor your returning customers as they are your advertising. What started out as a great experience will now be no experience at all. And not recommended because of the price increase for being a loyal customer.

Well, we are sorry for this inconvience. The Barbershop policy is as stated: An individual Barber has the right to charge their price point on returning clients. We always explain to each and every client that comes through the door, that if you are returning client and you specify a certain Barber to service them, you are no longer, a walk in client. unfortunately we’ve had an abnormal amount of clients who want appointment services at walk-in prices. This causes much confusion and unfair for The Barber who are servicing both types the clients.

Downstate visiting and found this place. Went in no appointment they got me in the chair after about an hour. Best taper I’ve ever had. Nice music and environment. Went to a store afterwards and got several compliments on my hair and how good I smelt. Great barbershop. Very cheap too.

Generations is a very welcoming barber shop for all! They have great customer service and allow appointments which is always great when you have a busy schedule. My barber B, is very attentive to details and flexible. He has handled my hair with care when it was longer with braids to cutting it all off for shorter cuts. The location is also in a plaza with a grocery store, beauty supply and other places to shop if you need to run errands. An all around good experience!

Al cut my hair yesterday! Probably one of the best experiences I've had at a shop. I had my locs for 10 years and recently cut them off. Tried the fro thing for a while and wanted to switch it up again and try something like a fade. Got played a few times by different barbers and decided to try one more before just saying whatever. He also didn’t make me feel any way about being a lesbian, masc presenting at that. He wasn’t funny acting or weird at all. He was very patient because I had no idea what I wanted, the proper terms to say or anything except a picture my wife googled and screenshot and said “get your hair done like this” 😂🤦🏾♀️ Booyy he got me right with that butter 🧈 Cleanest cut. He took his time and his technique 🔥🔥🔥 He super chill very laid back. Also communicates well. I appreciate his work gifted for sure and I’ll definitely be returning! Wife loved it, too!
