Minimal communication and gaslighting. This was my first haircut in town after moving across the country. I showed the barber two pictures of my hair after past haircut- tight fade on the sides and length on the top for a side part. Not only did the barber not listen to which way I parted my hair, after multiple reminders, I left with a crew cut. When I showed the barber the picture again, they told me that they did exactly what I asked. My hair is so short is won't even part. After, again, pointing out that this was not what I asked for, I was told, "it will grow back," with a smile by the neighboring barber. Needless to say I will not be going back, nor will I be recommending.

I walked in with hair down my back, asked for it to be cut shoulder length. Helen asked if I wanted to donate the long hair, to which I said that "I don't care. Whatever sure." She then proceeded to cut off so much hair that it now barely goes past my ears (about 2.5 inches above my shoulders) giving me a pageboy haircut. To cap it off, she had no information about donating hair, admitted she didn't know, and that the person who collected hasn't been in since COVID. She either didn't listen, didn't understand, or didn't care.

I wanted to like this place, but after three visits and three butchered haircuts, I won't go back. And let's be clear, I'm just asking for a standard low regs. At least two other guys I know have also sworn the place off for the same reason. Edit: I updated to two stars because the people themselves are friendly, they just don't give good haircuts. In response to the owner, I had a different barber each time I went.

I went in this morning to get my haircut by the barber Brian. This guy had such an attitude problem against me and I even showed him a photo of what I wanted and he complained about it. Didn’t even deliver the right haircut and got mad at me for it. I always been going to spiros, but after today I will never go back.

You gave me a call about about your bad experience with our barber, and I told you to come in tomorrow morning at 8:45am to cut it shorter with our other barbers and you told me that you will come in. You never came. I went back to my cameras and replayed, you both shake hands and both of you were laughing, I saw the picture you showed him, Brian gave you a great cut!!! Sorry you felt that way!!!<br>

Went in Wednesday early afternoon for a hair cut and was seated right away. The place was clean and was given a great hair cut within no time. The $17. Plus tip was just right. I was very happy with the hair cut and how the barber conducted himself. I will be back for sure.

I've been going to Spiro's, most recently two weeks ago, since my more local barbershop closed due to the total renovation of the building that housed their small shop (gentrification!). Spiro's prices are quite reasonable, the service is good, and they take the pandemic seriously. I am usually there during the week during the day and they always a reasonable stream of customers, which suggests that I am not the only one who is a fan of this business.

Updated to 4 stars - the shop runs smooth, pricing is good, and you'll just need to get used to the different hair cutting styles sometimes. Completely missed cutting hairs on top of my head. I'll probably call to see if they'll comp me, going back is too much of a hassle. Response: I fixed the issue myself with a few mirrors & scissors since I had meetings and a company event. Thanks anyways. Pushed from 2 to 3 stars for the prompt reply. Thanks for the offer. Driving in rush hour traffic during a weekday is not doable in either case.

This place is amazing. It's everything you want from a local barbershop. No wait time, friendly staff, quick, cheap prices, and of course great, consistent haircuts. The haircuts are always quick but you never feel rushed out. The atmosphere inside is open and laid back and you don't feel cramped in like at some other barbershops or chains. Ken is very nice and awesome at what he does. I've been recommending this place to everyone I know.

I've been coming to Spiro's for about two years now, and I've never been disappointed. I just walk in -- I don't ask for anyone in particular -- and they always seem to get my hair just right. The longest I've ever waited was about 20 minutes, but that was on a Saturday afternoon. Typically, I'm seated as soon as I walk in. If you live in the area, I highly recommend giving them a try.

Clean and casual atmosphere with friendly staff. The owner/Spiro is always around chatting up everyone and joking with staff. Haircuts are great, Helen is the best. Takes her time to finish detail trimming and is sincere. Best hours to go are right at opening, low-key and no rush. TV on the wall always showing sports to keep you in the loop!
