Where do I start? I have been going to Jimbo since early in the pandemic. Since the first haircut, he made sure to understand how I wanted my haircut and even as of lately recommended care to attempt to grow a beard. Every time I visit, the customer service is outstanding from the time I walk in the door, during my visit, and on my way out. Their membership program is top-notch. It allows you to get extra amenities at a very minor cost. If you’re looking for a professional environment, where you can not only get your haircut, but come to hang out and network with other professionals, this place is a can’t miss.

I Have been a customer of DHG for the past 3 years and have found the environment and customer service to be outstanding. Mr. Danzie is an outstanding barber. For more than a year and a half, I have been getting my haircut at Distinctive Hair & Grooming for Men (DHG). The first thing that I noticed was how professional the staff was and how attentive they are regarding your haircut experience. The salon was spotless, the tools were sanitized, and the overall vibe was both professional and relaxing. As a customer of DHG, you are provided with first class customer service, from the haircut experience to other services they offer. The DHG staff always make sure that a customer is scheduled for the next appointment. If you need to reschedule your appointment time and date, no problem, the staff will make sure that you get your new slot. During the year DHG have member appreciation events. These events are the best because the DHG staff show customers how much they appreciate their loyalty and patronage. DHG is truly an experience that goes far beyond a typical barbershop. I stand by DHG service and would recommend anyone looking for a professional experience with male grooming to make an appointment and try out their services. . !

I’ve been going to Mr. Danzie for a few years now, and the service has always been consistent and professional. He respects your time, does great work every visit, and I’ve honestly never had a complaint. I’m grateful to have a barber I can rely on and definitely plan on continuing to keep him as my barber.

I can trust going into the barber shop, that my hair grooming will be in the hands of a professional. Mr. Danzie, always delivers clean, precise cuts and listens carefully to what I want. In the past, I’ve had barbers that were unreliable to meet scheduled appointments on time. But with Mr. Danzie I have not run into that problem. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I have been coming to distinctive for over 7 years. We’re family at this point. I won’t go anywhere else for my hair. Karl and Miss Deb are my regular folks, but everyone here is a skilled professional. I cannot speak highly enough about distinctive and all the staff. It is a joy to come back here each time and be treated like family, while receiving some of the best service around.

I've been going to Distinctive Hair & Grooming since May 2018. The shop is clean, professionally run, and has a great atmosphere with courteous staff. While I am impressed with the other barber's work, my barber loyalty lies with Mr. Danzie. He's been my barber for many years, and this shop allows me to set up appointments with him and I've never had one cancelled. He's never let me down and gives me a perfect cut every single time. I'm very satisfied with my experience with this barbershop!

My barber is Master Barber Danzie Seaward. Mr. Seaward has been cutting my hair since 1985 and I can honestly say he treats all of his clients like family. I am blessed to have him as my barber and I am absolutely satisfied with his services. Since the first day I met him in his parents shop in Seat Pleasant Maryland it was as if I'd been knowing him for years. Danzie consistently displays a professional attitude and always has a positive word. I must also recognize the owner's of Distinctive Hair and Grooming along with the staff for their professional conduct at all times. This is a top notch shop with great barbers and staff.

So much to unpack here. This is my first review for this outstanding business. Yet, I have been a client for before Covid-19. I'll begin with Miss D. She is a Master Barber and is the ONLY such professional I want to cut my husband's hair and mustache. He was miserable about not finding a barber that understood his hair type. I suggested Miss D and she can't get rid of him if she tried. I'm always happy with the results. Happy wife. Happy Life. When I found out Miss D was a stylist too, I tried her and now I won't go elsewhere. She does it all weaves, braids, roller set. She is a master colorist. But what I adore the most is that she really cares about the health of my hair. She won't execute a style that is going to damage my hair. I have more confidence with the beautiful styles she does for me. Now for the shop Manager Miss A: She keeps things running smoothly. She treats all customers and clients like royalty. Her smiles and customer service is next-level! She is a champion scheduler and never seems to get annoyed, angry, or impatient with challenges. Yes, she's kind, but no push over. As professional she is able to advise her customers/client with state-of-the-art and well researched hair related information. Also, I crave her shampoos! She is focused and takes no shortcuts! I am always sad when the shampoos end, but knowing that I received a quality shampoo and conditioner. Distinctive is a full service grooming giant. And it's nail manicurist, Miss AL, is phenomenal! She is so knowledgeable about nails. Can do all kinds of styles well. But what I most love about her is her understanding of nail health. I wanted to stop my nail-weakening dip sessions for many years and focus on my own nail growth and strength. She had so many healthy non-toxic alternatives to encourage my mission and STILL have a stunning manicure. Her prices are so affordable that leaves lots of room for a major tip. Which I was more than happy to oblige. Overall, all the employees are top-notched; keeping the business squeaky clean consistently. They are very friendly and genuine. I love Distinctive because Distinctive loves me as a client. And Distinctive will love you, too. I bet my next hairdo on it!
