Elijah has been cutting hair in this location in Newton Center for almost 15 years. My haircuts and his service have always been excellent. He is uniquely open on Mondays and there is almost always metered street parking available. When you enter the building from Sumner Street just walk one flight down the stairs and you are there!! A+++ Strongly Recommended!

The barber at this shop has hands dipped in some type holy liquid, the type of dexterity only possessed by a master violinist or someone that competes at Worlds for League of Legends. When he saw my hairline he didn’t flinch - “I’ve got 42 years of experience” was all he said.

If you’re in need of a haircut in the Newton area, find yourself to Centre Barbershop. Elijah will take fantastic care of you. He’s been cutting my hair for 10+ years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Elijah is a great, friendly man who gives quality haircuts for a fair price. I have been going to Elijah for haircuts for over a Decade now and he never disappoints. He has always been accommodating whenever I need a cut last minute. I would definitely recommend anyone to get a haircut here.

Elijah is a great barber and nice man. Been going to him for years when I’m back from college. He never fails to get me right with a good haircut and is a very friendly family man. Nice place highly recommended.

DISAPPOINTED- I went in looking for a new hairstyle but I came out as a whole new man! This haircut was amazing! So stylish, exactly what I wanted, Elijah worked with me to get it perfect. Don’t come here if you want an expensive cut, and be prepared to deal with days and weeks worth of compliments from everyone you know!

I’ve been a regular at NCBS for years. Elijah, who runs and operates the business all by himself, is incredibly hard working, kind, thoughtful, and passionate. He truly cares about his customers on a personal level and makes sure they leave with the best haircut each and every time they come. I highly recommend getting your haircuts here. Elijah is an amazing barber! I have been going to Centre Barbershop for 6 years and to Elijah for the last four and he always greets me with a smile and a handshake. He gives great haircuts and the wait is always extremely short. I enjoy our conversations and his rates are very reasonable. I definitely recommend!!
