This place is run by father son duo. I had a good experience when son was cutting the hair. However my last hair cut was done by father. It was unfriendly and lacked attention to any degree. He was debating with his friends or other clients. Should pay attention to clients needs and preferences. I wanted to walk away in middle due to safety concerns. He was always looking back at other and debating instead of focusing on my head. Cut the exact opposite way I wanted to. I won't recommend this place to anyone nor would I ever go back.

Worst haircut ever had a low fade with long hair on top parted to the side. I came out looking like a lesbian. From the start he didn’t understand what I was saying and then went Edward scissor fingers on me and had long hair and short hair everywhere like I couldn’t believe it and every time I tried to correct him ot got worse so I just got up paid and walked out

Great experience for my 6-year-old son. Estephan was warm and kind and did a really thorough nice cut on his hair. Highly recommend!

No muss, no fuss, just a great haircut for a great price, with some great conversation thrown in. No pretense but listens to what you want and just does it professional. Highly recommended. Been going there for years and years and never disappointed.

Estephan, the barber who cut my hair today here had to deal with my long hair and it was a huge mess. Not the stuff a barber usually has to deal with. He was so friendly and made it super comfortable, when usually I dont like getting haircuts thats much. Usually I think my haircuts look awkard, which is why it was so long in the first place. He gave me an amazing haircut and I actually love it. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants a classic haircut and trim/shave. Fast worker and a pro

I was looking for a new place to get my haircut since I never got what I really wanted from my old place. I came across E&C Barber Shop which was very nearby to me. When I walked in for the first time, I felt welcomed by the father and son (The day before everything started closing down due to the pandemic) and they gave me a really good cut. Ever since, E&C barber shop has been my go to spot for haircuts. I usually go with the son (Mark) for my cuts.

Today was the second time in about 4 yrs that l went here for a haircut. The 1st time was for my dad who was in desperate need of a haircut. That's when l first met the "father & son" of E&C Barber Shop. They were so accommodating to my dad who suffered from dementia (now Alzheimer's) that l have never forgotten them. Fast forward to the present, in a "pandemic" where businesses are slowly returning. Normally l would got to the New England Hair Academy's "barber side" of the school. But due to our current situation w/ Covid-19 coronavirus, l would have to wait about 2-3 weeks for an appointment to have one of their students cut my hair. So after making a few phone calls & checking on prices as well as hrs of several hair salons & barber shops, I remembered E&C Barber Shop & how wonderful they were w/ my dad. So l took a chance as l did before for my father all those years ago, & not only was l able to get a haircut but l was also able to be taken in as a "walk-in"! No appt needed! This time l had Mark (the son) cut my extremely long "quarantine" hair & I've gotta say: I've never been happier! E&C Barber Shop just gain a NEW customer & I'll be going there again for my NEXT haircut & every one after that!! ;)

Great service. I just got a baldie tho, so for what that's worth. The guy's funny &easy2 talk to, stayed open late just for me. A true pop &son operation which, just adds to it's charm! It was the 1st time I haven't shaved my own head. It's was so good, that I actually spoiled myself with another cut this mos.

I've been to E&C a couple times now and they give the best, most consistent fade I've had in years. It's family owned, it's always clean, you're welcomed by friendly barbers. It's very easy to become a regular there. For anyone looking for a new barber shop, I highly recommend E&C.

E&C is the best barbershop in Malden. It's a father-son business with a great location and even better cuts. The prices are reasonable, the barbers are friendly, and I've never had to wait long. I'm always amazed when I can walk in and not wait very long for such a great haircut.
