Took my 8year old daughter. Stylist was really kind and great with kids. The receptionist was rudely talking about others and didn’t think I could hear today and was difficult to book effectively with yesterday. It seemed like they just get guys here and less experience with kids and women compared to wicker park and lakeview locations. Kind stylist!

2 kids cuts. Easy to book online, same day. Convenient location and parking. Cool place, everyone was very nice. The boys cuts came out great. The one pictured is my 5 year old. Ali cut his hair and was fast. It was $31 but I tipped $10 for doing a kids cut so fast and good. It came out great. My kids aren’t difficult to cut, but other places it took forever and they didn’t come out as good. We asked for anyone and I honestly think anyone that was there would’ve done a great job, as I noticed their clients were happy with their cuts.

My stylist has great communication before & during the cut. Listens, asks questions & gives great suggestions. Her specialty in custom cuts is outstanding! Always goes above & beyond!

Mandii did an excellent job. She got it right the first time with little explanation on my part and expertly fixed the previous barber's mistake. I will definitely see her again!

Not great. For some reason, I got split with two people one guy to wash my hair and do the conditioning and then another guy to do the beard. The guy that did the conditioning was good and experienced nice guy. The guy that did my beer while he was a nice guy. He was very young and inexperienced. He couldn’t really do my cheeks with a straight razor so he had to use the electric razor. He left stragglers everywhere, the beard cut is super uneven. I’m going to have to go somewhere else to get it fixed

First time going there and I didn’t know what to do with my son’s hair and JP helped me out with his hair and telling him my son has autism. He told my son if he needs a break to let him know and my son asked for a break and he said sure no problem buddy and my son had a connection with him that JP will be the only barber who will cut my sons hair

JP is a PHENOMENAL barber. Not only is he great at cutting hair, but he also does an exceptional job at creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. I’ve had my hair cut by JP 3 times now, and each time I was there he made sure to have a detailed consultation with me about what I was visioning before he started cutting. Not once did I feel rushed when talking about what I wanted, but rather, JP provided expert opinions on what might look best on me and what stylistic choices would provide me with the result that I’m looking for. He allowed me to find pictures and create visuals while sitting in the chair so that we had a clear game plan going into the cut. During the cut, JP has always been an amazing conversationalist as well. He’s an easy person to talk to and is great at keeping the conversation going. He also allows me to stop him at any point and provide feedback on whether I don’t like what he is doing or if I feel good about where the haircut is heading. And at the end of the haircut, he makes sure that I’m comfortable with letting him know if there’s anything else that I want changed. Overall, JP is an awesome guy and a great barber. 10/10 service and expertise, I totally recommend trying him out. Some pics of the haircut he just gave me are attached to this review so everyone can see his work.

UPDATE: Allie is now at the Barbour Parlor at 7224 N. Harlem Chicago. First, let me just say that I rarely leave reviews. I had to leave one for Allie (colorist) and Jessica (haircut). Allie is the most talented hair colorist I have encountered. I had brassy, yellow tones, streaks of dark hair in weird places and she color corrected it all. She even hand painted my short hairs by my neck line where you can't get a foil in and blended it all perfectly! Anyone with short hair knows the cut MUST be precise and right. Allie also cut my hair beautifully. I'm so grateful I found her..
