Been getting my hair done by both Mark and Bianca for years. Couldn't express how well they both do touching up my hair. Highly highly recommend either one of them.

My poor friend doesn’t have the courage to review, but he asked for some off the top and they basically chopped it all off. This is the most atrocious haircut of all time. This place should never cut hair ever again, every barber should have their license taken away. He payed $30 and should get a full refund. Completely Ridiculous.

Mackhard is clean, the staff are friendly and efficient, and my son always leaves with a haircut that he's happy with. While you can just walk-in without an appointment, they use the app Booksy for appointments. I love the app because I can easily make an appointment whenever my son mentions needing a haircut (this most recent time he mentioned it while walking to school), without having to wait until business hours to remember to call or text anyone. Since they're cash only, there is an ATM at Mackhard.

I go here to get my beard trimmed and it turns out great everytime. Good vibes in the place as well, the barbers read you and know if you want to talk or not(I prefer not to talk during my visits) and respect the decision. They're always courteous and professional. Place only takes cash but I assume that's because of the outrageous credit card fees. Glad I found a place I can reliably go to. Was considering not writing a review so more people don't go but these guys deserve it, fantastic all around.

I’ve been coming to this shop for years now, and I have yet to have a bad experience. I always leave feeling great with the work that is done. Mili has been nothing but awesome and I appreciate that she takes her time. I don’t feel like she’s ever rushing to move onto the next person. She always cuts my hair with care, and knows how I like to have it cut without me having to say anything. Keep up the great work!

I've been coming to this shop for haircuts for several years now and have had nothing but great experiences. Maria gives me the exact cut I'm looking for every single time and is always incredibly friendly and great to talk and catch up with. Everybody in the shop is very welcoming and they really seem to have a great relationship with the local clientele. I've recommended Maria to several other people over the years and will continue to do so, she's wonderful to work with

I was searching for a consistent barber shop for years. I tried the the Sports Clips, Great Clips etc. and wasn't ever satisfied. Started looking for local shops and just couldn't find a place that actually listened to what I wanted and was capable of modern cuts. Then I went to Mackhard and got my cut with Maria and everything changed! I don't even think about going anywhere else because every time I go I feel like I'm part of the family. It's a causal place with great conversations and its right downtown Downers so easy to walk out the door and go show off your new cut! Maria (the owner) and her team are the best! Guaranteed you'll walk out happy

This place provides good haircuts at reasonable prices. They also have beard trimming and shaving services. I have always received great service and they have accepted me as a walk-in several times. The shop has a small town feel. The barbers and stylists know the clientele (by name, their families, etc). This makes for a nice atmosphere. I’ve only had one minor complaint here: they’ve previously let solicitors come into the business and sell items to their customers. It’s hard to say no since we are confined to the chair at that point. At least, it was for a good cause (raising money for homeless that are also fighting drug addiction). In short, I highly recommend this place for its good service and small town feel.

Easily the best barber shop in the area, I have been to 2 others nearby, and to be civil lets just say they don't compare. Came by 2 weeks ago and Mike gave me one of the best hair cut and beard clean ups I've ever gotten. Great atmosphere and fun staff. Found out when I came in too, that they do really good cuts for children, I'll be taking me son here now.

Fantastic experience and service. I made an appointment and was in a chair very quickly as I arrived. Abby (I hope I spelled it right) was very professional and made me feel comfortable. Her experience showed in my haircut as I have rarely found people that know how to cut curly hair. Also styled my beard and used the straight razor expertly. Overall great experience would recommend even for those with extra curly hair like mine. I will definitely be back for my next cut!
