This review is many years overdue but I still fondly remember how well Mr Sanchez took care of me and his customers. He sometimes does a back neck shave for me that I remember til this day.

Very affordable at 30 bucks and the barber seemed to be able to suss out what cut I wanted from my pretty vague instructions. Really good vibe in there as well. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Been coming here for 2 years or so, tried out other barber shops and I always come back to this one, its the last good working class barber shop! Great prices, wonderful hospitality and Vicente es el mejor!

Señor Sanchez is a lovely older gentleman but I did not receive the cut I asked for. I wanted a taper fade to prep my hair for longer growth - a maintenance cut. He only used one guard size throughout the cut and did not blend the “fade” evenly. There were no guidelines for the fade and no clips for sectioning. It came out choppy and uneven. In the end it came out okay… once my hair grows out a bit more it won’t look as uneven. He reminded me of my late grandfather, so I didn’t have the heart to tell him I wasn’t fully satisfied. When I sat down in the chair I had a bad feeling. I have much respect for the gentleman, but he is past his prime. Better off waiting for Vicente.

First time going here, had the pleasure of working with Vicente. He did a fantastic job, went above and beyond to fix my hair, and was great to talk to as well. This shop has a great vibe and extremely comfortable seats to wait in. Great service and a great rate, I will definitely be back.

I usually go here and get the younger guy who does a great job. This time was a Friday and an older barber cut my hair and it was not good. Really rough. I got a fade and both sides are uneven. I would only go to the younger guy. Avoid the older barber at all cost.

UPDATED REVIEW: I came back after a month and gave this place another chance because the younger guy really does a fantastic job. I essentially asked him to fix the problem areas that were obvious and growing out uneven, it turned out perfect. OLD REVIEW: I usually get a great fade here. Came in today. a saturday afternoon, there was no line but there was a second older barber that I’ve never seen before. I could feel his tremors while using the clippers for my fade. I asked for a half inch to an inch trim off the top, and he cut my curly hair down to barely over an inch. He has no idea what he’s doing and I’m so upset with how this turned out. Avoid the old man if you can.

I've been going to this barbershop for almost a year now, and I don't plan on that changing! Located right off the red line Sheridan stop, in a great location. Great atmosphere where they treat you like family, and Dre always does a phenomenal job with great conversations to be had.

Great COVID protocols! Plastic up all around and chairs are covered and cleaned after every haircut. Staff strictly wears masks and will kindly ask you for yours. Great haircut, great conversation, big tv with something educational from Netflix, and great price! The barbers can fade and shave and do it all. Paid street parking just outside on Irving Park Road and free street parking around the corner. Two blocks from Sheridan Red line and close to Irving, Broadway, and Sheridan bus stops! Ask about the free massage chair!

I don't know if it was sanchez or the other guy that did the haircut but i had missed spots of hair on the forehead, that I couldn't see since he didn't clean good the leftover hair. Definitely not worth 20 $. On the plus side there is a big tv with Netflix on.
