I had a GREAT experience as a walk in today. Ricky was awesome, took care of me in record time. I will be coming back to this Barber; extremely convenient location for people that works in the West Loop area.

Olivia is incredible. She’s super consistent, pays attention to detail, and always nails the cut exactly how I want it. You can tell she really knows her craft the fades, the clean-up, everything is always on point. On top of that, she’s easy to talk to and just makes the whole appointment feel fun and comfortable. Josh, the owner, has built an awesome shop. The vibe is relaxed, the place is spotless, and everyone who works there is genuinely friendly. It’s the kind of place where you feel taken care of from the moment you walk in, not rushed or brushed off like at a lot of other shops. If you’re looking for a spot with talented barbers, good energy, and consistently great service, Prohibition Barber is it. I can’t recommend it enough.💈🔥

Vince is the man, one of the best cuts in the city. Josh, the owner is a great operator - place runs smoothly and has a great vibe overall. Would recommend to anyone

I get businesses have gotta pay people, but they also need to have empathy, understanding, and show up for their customers. Owner seems like he’d sell you out if it means making a buck and if you’re cool supporting that behavior then that’s on you. Only reason this isn’t a 1 star review is because I understand needing to run a business and making money. Just respect people more and your business could thrive

For anyone doubting the misleading reviews from Tyler Gomez and the other one star reviews. Refer to our photo section. There you can see exactly what was communicated to “Matt Eggers”. He’s misrepresenting the situation and trying to shift blame for not following our cancellation policy, and now his little friends are buying into his story. Proof in writing is posted. Josh and the crew are amazing. They know their craft and give a damn. For clients that cannot adhere to policies, go find another shop, because Prohibition is a class act!

I would recommend going to a different barber. I went in just for a beard trim. My beard is uneven, and the lineup is not straight at all - all for $50, well above market price. When do you still see stubble after a straight razor shave?? They have nice products and the place is clean, but all the glitters is not gold.

I live in Rochester NY but often work in Chicago. A friend recommended Prohibition and thus I tried them out on a trip. They have been absolutely amazing! I now plan my trips in advance and come in for a beard trim and clean up. They are pros, artists, confidants and storytellers all wrapped together. I will not go anywhere else! And the vibe in both locations is absolutely top notch. Space to talk, connect and relax. Cannot recommend them enough! I will continue to go every time I am in Chicago! -Jonathan

got my cut here, Alexis did a 10/10 job and even gifted me some quenepas fresh from puerto rico. The cut was super fresh and finally felt like i looked good. I've always struggled understanding my hair and head shape, and he helped me understand my weird head shape and advised me on what cut to get that complements my features the best. I posted a pic on instagram and now I have 3 dates lined up next week - literally cured my depressive episode and my therapist was super happy. can't wait to book again.

Had an amazing experience with Cori at Prohibition!! Clean and upscale shop with plenty of options and great customer service!! Dont let the hidden door fool you. If you're looking to be taken care of in a welcoming and calm atmosphere this is the place to be!
