Did this place close? I’ve been walking by it for weeks now hoping to see the lights on. What’s going on? Looking for Besi in particular. I’ll change the review once I know something. They do good work but they just closed out of nowhere. 8/29/24 (Update) I think I heard what happen to the shop. It’s sad that you had to close down. I hope for the best for all the barbers there. It was a great place to get a haircut.

I’ve been going to this shop for the past 8+ years and they’ve always done a great job! Unfortunately it sounds like they have closed. Was very happy to find out Toni has started his own barbershop at 1411 Lake Ave, Wilmette. Great service as always and highly recommend if you’re willing to make the drive there.

I went for a beard trim. After every 2-3 minutes of trimming, Adrian was asking (like this?), and I was quite exhausted. Furthermore, I had to make so many suggestions to trim the beard, and which I anyway could have done my own. I came here thinking that they would be an expert on trimming the beard, and will know exactly what style would suit me. Nothing like that. I got done in literally five minutes with a beard trim that I could do at home, and paid $18 for it. I’ll do the customer a favor - go somewhere else for a beard trim. Certainly, not this place. I don’t know about hair cuts.

Great spot to grab a haircut and a shave. I frequented here a lot before Covid. Now that everyone is coming back downtown, this place is once again a favorite of mine. Experienced barbers at an affordable price. Make sure to bring cash. They do not accept credit card. You can’t go wrong coming here for a haircut and shave.

Never been to this shop, but Im glad I went in. I called on a Monday morning and Phillip booked me for a 10:30am haircut and beard trim. My beard was very overgrown and unruly, but I explained what I needed done and Aaron took care the rest with an efficient cut and trim executed with a precise hand. Very pleasant experience in an old school, no-nonsense environment. Well worth the cost, definitely will be back.

In from out of town, I called 8 minutes before walking in the door, and Phil took great care of me. I received a very good haircut from the man himself, and the beard trim he gave me is the first that has met my partner's approval in years. He was quick, thorough, engaging, and very good. On top of that, the price was more than reasonable. I would go back without any hesitation. I may travel back to Chicago for my next haircut! Update: I DID travel back to Chicago for my next haircut, and I was not disappointed. Phil made time for me and took care of my hair and beard. As happy as the first time, and already assuming I'll be back for my next cut.

Wonderful service. Old-fashioned barbershop with a lot of personality and an incredible professional like Phil. I am really happy with my haircut and from now on this will definitely be my new regular barbershop. Also, he opens daily at 7am, which is extremely convenient.

Awesome barber shop. Aaron always does my hair right, but all the guys are very friendly. This isn't a fancy salon that'll charge you a premium, offer extra amenities, or push products on you. Just a quick, high quality, clean cut at a very reasonable cost. If you prefer more of a salon "experience", this might not be your place. I recommend calling ahead. They're big into soccer, and sports in general, so they'll typically have whatever game is playing on the TV.

This is an excellent barber shop: reasonably priced, good atmosphere, and excellent haircuts. They have several barbers/chairs and accept walk-ins (and are very friendly to walk-ins) so I did not have to wait at all during my lunch break. I had my hair cut by Aaron, who did a fantastic job. We talked about what I wanted, he did an excellent job delivering on what we talked about, did some touching up/adjustments for me, and kept me on-time for a meeting right after lunch. I could not have asked for more, and I will definitely be going back for my next haircut.
