If you’re searching for an amazing barber or hair stylist—someone who truly listens, pays attention to detail, and delivers consistently great results—Tonya at Old Town Barbershop in the West Loop is your person. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Tonya for quite a while (so this review is long overdue—my bad, Tonya!), and every appointment reminds me why I keep coming back: She’s incredibly skilled, unfailingly professional (I’ve never once had to wait beyond my appointment start-time), and her rates are ridiculously reasonable for such high-quality service. Moreover, Tonya understands what will actually work for my hair (and my age), and isn’t afraid to give honest feedback, which I very much appreciate. Highly, highly recommend.

Extremely poor quality of service. The price does not match the level of work at all. My barber was Tonya. I asked for a fade and a trim, but the result was very poorly done. There was no consistent line along the sides, and the scissor work was especially bad. My hair was cut far too short, and as it grew out, the unevenness became even more obvious. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and not worth the cost.

Olgert is simply exceptional at his craft and an artist in his work. He takes the time to ensure that you can feel confident in what he does. Olgert has cut my hair for over a decade and the compliments not only I get but he gets from those around him for his work speak for themselves.

Walked into Old Town after a bad cut elsewhere and Leo absolutely saved the day. Super attentive, friendly, and precise🤌🏽 he listened, fixed the mess, and had me walking out looking way better than I walked in. Clean fade, sharp lineup, zero rush. 10/10… ask for Leo!

Tonya at the West Loop location is the best!! I've been going here for a couple of years and whether I wanna stick with the usual or open to something new, she's got a great eye for style and detail. Great conversation and vibe.

Tonya is a great stylist ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. She is professional, meticulous, hardworking, and efficient. I have never left the shop feeling disappointed over my haircut with Tonya as my stylist. She cares about her job, and she always stives to deliver results well above the standard haircut experience. She is on-time and is not there to waste anyone's time. If you're new to Chicago or just looking to change things ups, I would recommend getting a haircut with Tonya at Old Town Barbershop on Lake St (West Loop).

Tonya. She’s the only barber (barbess?) for me. She cuts my hair and then I’m handsome. I was never handsome before her. She also noticed when I lost weight. If Tonya is not cutting your hair, you’re not as handsome as you could be. She also always consults me before making recurring commitments in her personal life to ensure I’m always able to get a haircut at the time I want. She’s the best.

I have been going to OTB for years but recently found Courtney ant the West Loop location and I think she does a fantastic job. The shop is very relaxed and makes you feel welcome. Courtney is super easy to work with and is great at offering suggestions if you’re not sure what you exactly want, but she also totally respects your vision. She’s flexible, chill, and really knows her stuff. I always leave with a haircut that looks better than I expected. Highly recommended to get a cut with Courtney!

I live in the neighborhood and have been going to this Baber for roughly 3 years now. Have had great experiences every time - friendly, prompt, and above all a great haircut. I go to Olgert specifically. He is the best. I do a low fade with it longer on top, and he always works with me offering advice and ultimately does a phenomenal job. Great person and barber! I would absolutely recommend.
